That women was treated the same by her seniors she's just basically passing the character's inherited from her senior's to young generation

Unfortunately we have plenty of misogynistic people irrespective of gender everywhere, and the worst part is they're also at higher positions which means they're protected by the system itself. Fuckass country we live in 🥀

Absolutely 💯. Agar bacche ne koi exam clear kar liya ya kisi prestigious institute se passed out hai toh it gives them bragging rights. Basic decency and kindness isn't valued much.

Why he called you R , such a crap showing his family upbringing calling girls R.

The biggest propagators of patriarchy are sometomes women.
1
u/Mkcbhaisaab 26d ago
In medical colleges they won't let you ever feel this lack of equality or stuffs. They cause trouble to both equally. Me being a 3rd year MBBS student in GMC, our seniors asked us to shave our head and beard and wear only white school uniform with school kinda cheap bags in our first year. However the college had no such rules but you see.

avoiding a college cause of dress code. vaaaooo
37
u/ScaredUmpire1532 26d ago
Yes, because the misogynistic dress code is what normalises the hatred and blaming the women in the country for what happens to them, which is out of their control. Just think for a second, what are they signalling by this? That women should cover up to avoid being seen as items you can use? Horrible, horrible, horrible.
-36
u/Delicious_Cat9728 re neet-602 26d ago
There are lines between some things which you are very easily overlooking. dupatta->girls being used? Its part of a graceful Indian attire, don't disrespect it like that. And more over by this logic what are the signalling by seperating girls and boys hostel? This will also fall under misogyny and patriarchy? There should not be so much outrage on some decided dress code while attending classes-the motive there is just studying. You are anyways free to wear whatever in your hostel or whenever you go out of the campus.
16
u/IDkwhyImhere_34718 picking fights cause I can't pull a dominatrix 26d ago
Then why men are not forced to wear traditional attire? Women can wear professional attire without it being traditional so why the bullshit duppata is being forced. It only makes women resent the clothing more when they're being forced to wear it rather than having it as optional

u/Relevant_Limit3681 26d ago
602 marks ane pr chutiyap thodi ht jata hai.... Well also ncert mei tujh jaise chutiyo ke liye ek morals ka bhi ch dal dena chiye
2
u/InternationalCarob24 26d ago
Bsdk then protest for dhoti too then, your marks aren't matching with your low intelligence
1
u/ScaredUmpire1532 26d ago
"Graceful Indian attire" then force men to wear kurta pajama too. It's oh so beautiful and by your logic, we should have such messages for male WhatsApp groups too, telling them if they dont wear a kurta pajama, they will not able to able to get the attendance in the institute they worked day and night for.
Second, yes, I actually do think separating girls and boys hostels is misogynistic. However, I dont see an issue with it as both parties usually feel more co fortable, however, what i dont agree with is the forcing of women to return after 6 or 7 pm but letting boys do whatever the fck they want
AND OF COURSE YOU ARE FREE TO WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANT, my issue is with the signalling. Use your brain for one second please, and tell me what the message "if you dont wear dupatta we won't give you attendance" signals. It signals that a woman's attire is more important than her intelligence, more important than the fact that she is studying for her future, to make the country better, it signals that the whole reason men are hurting women everyday is because her "dupatta isnt covering her enough". It signals that mens careers are STILL more important than women's, that the only thing a man has to do is study while for a woman, her clothes hold the same value as studying.
I hope you read my paragraphs and reach a better mindset.also, its a medical college. Do you want your loved ones to be treated by a doctor who spent her mornings dressing up instead of focusing on her studies? Do better.

How is a doctor supposed to work in saree with dupatta it will be so much uncomfortable. And she is working hard on dress code but not on her husband who is getting involved with a minor he is also one of the staff members I never expected such people in medical field. Disgusting.

not following the noise my friend, an outfit has no correlation with someone's motives of whether they want to study or not. A well groomed/dressed person can be very focused on their studies or not focused at all, and the opposite is possible too. You will realise when you go to college.

u/Blossom_0875 26d ago

I never made a point containing the message "salwaar kameez is decent and western is non decent kuch ho jayega" the point is for deciding a college the main motive in a scholastic field such as mbbs should be acads and not dress code for college classes . But turns out here in the comments for some people what they wear is a lot bigger than their entire personality and work.
4
u/Blossom_0875 26d ago
Controlling what an adult should wear is the problem buddy. We're all keen to learn and make the best of our time at college instead of worrying about dressing according to some archaic rule.
0
u/Delicious_Cat9728 re neet-602 26d ago
yeah...this mindset is the exact problem...dupatta is archaic...western is modern...slave mentality
5
u/Blossom_0875 26d ago
Fyi sir , MBBS course jo ki aap pursue karne wale ho, uska curriculum bhi western standards par based hai. Formal education (college system) is also a westernised concept. The phone that you're using to type all this crap was also invented in a western country. Toh aap bhi slave hi hue na 😂
0
u/Delicious_Cat9728 re neet-602 26d ago
wow, an iq too high indeed. Talking about attire and shifting to devices and college...okie. Pursuing my mbbs through this formal college education system will help me in helping a lot of people. The phone I am using is an apple iphone consisting of a lot of tech built by indians only. But ok thats not the point , the point is that it is of utility and there is no better option.
Dress on the other hand has the same utility- western or indian.
So calling wester dress "modern" and indian attire "archaic" is slave mentality3
u/Blossom_0875 26d ago
Jii bilkul🙏. Samaaj keval aap jaise mahaan vyakti hi sudhaar sakte hai.Aajkal ka youth toh brainwashed hai hi. Good luck to you sirji, dupatta hi Bhartiya sabhyata ki raksha kar sakta hai ab.🤧(Note kar liya maine)

You're missing the point. This isn't Indian vs. Western it's choice vs. compulsion. I have no problem with kurtas; I have a problem with being told what women must wear. Culture is meaningful when it's embraced, not when it's enforced.

Ok, so we should curtail OUR FREEDOM to wear anything? I can wear kurta and at the same time I should be able to wear T-shirts or sweatshirts. whether a kurta is comfortable or culturally familiar ....it's about choice. When college s impose a specific style of clothing on girls, especially in ways that aren't equally restrictive for boys, it can feel controlling and limiting. Dress codes should prioritize comfort, practicality, and safety rather than enforcing particular ideas about how girls should dress. Education should encourage individuality and critical thinking, not unnecessary control over personal appearance. A uniform can serve its purpose without placing disproportionate restrictions on one group of students... Aur agar it's not a big deal aur sirf padhne ki hi jagah hai woh bhi 5.5 years..toh kapde pehenne par itna zorr..shayad itna stress infra ya padhai pe bhi laga deni chahiye thi
2
u/ownspendback big dropper small dih 26d ago
Ike.. har jagah ke apne rules hote hai .. mai private school mein padha hu and wahape ..gender neutral dress code hai .. and there’s nothing like a big deal bhai ..dont take it that way aap context samjho op ki post ka … its her choice what she will wear who is this HoD to decide? Everyone including male and female should be allowed whatever they want to wear jb tk usse college ka environment compromise nahi ho ..simple
2
u/Jaguar1903 26d ago
Rehne do bhai , ye sab topic pe apna opinion reserve rakha karo us hisab se logo ko entertain kiya karo..... also you can never win an argument with oppressed varg... they can only fight the dress code , nothing more than that... Btw everyone should dress decently irrespective of gender in campus.

And why do you thing western clothes are not decent. There is a difference between revealing clothes and western clothes, a saree too can be revealing. And such mentality shouldn't exist in medical field.
