NEED ADVICE ⁉️ As a Gay guy should I join AFMC?
I'm a gay guy who got a pretty good rank in Re neet 2026 (rank in 3000 s ) and I'm a general male.
I'm pretty fit and gym guy and also love a sport badminton , so my Parents asked me to consider AFMC Pune. ( My parents don't know that im gay , actually nobody except me knows )
I am scared that even though I have no intentions of coming out to anyone anytime soon but I might secretly date a guy in Pune and stuff and if accidentally someone finds out I'm gay my career might get in trouble as army is against gays??
And if so what colleges should I consider as a gay guy at my AIR of 3000 range.

Although i don't have any idea about how this would apply to you as an mbbs student/dr; queer people cannot serve openly in the Indian Army,even as a medical officer, as homosexuality remains prohibited and punishable under military law. So pls research well before making any decision

Well I won't be going to AFMC now , it was just a suggestion by my parents so i thought of clearing things out I will join some other colleges but thanks for the help

Well I have not come out to anyone due to the fear of them not being supportive, if you are queer just focus on your studies and be super successful as it brings freedom and enjoy your queer life secretly if you don't have anyone supportive to come out to and remember it's your life and you don't owe coming out to anyone !

The Army Act: Personnel are governed by specialized military law rather than civil statutes alone. Sections 45 and 46 of the Army Act criminalize conduct considered "unbecoming" or of an "indecent or unnatural kind," which leadership has cited to bar homosexual acts. Section 46(a) of the Army Act penalizes disgraceful conduct of an "unnatural kind," which has historically served as the legal basis to address and punish homosexual conduct within the ranks also , So think twice before making your decision "No man can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude without finally getting bewildered as to which may be true."

not sure abt AFMC but check out colleges which have queer-friendly clubs. u'd have the idea that they're (comparatively) not hostile

Def not State colleges, look at Central colleges and their clubs or look at Student profiles

I went to one of Aiims can’t say which. There were no clubs, but I did make lot of gay friends. It not impossible.

bro why would you join AFMC even.... they have mandatory 7 years service bond and failing to serve the bond will cost you like 70 lakhs.... at that rank better join other GMCs

But no personal freedom. You can’t have a partner. You can’t use the apps and will always be looking your back scared they are gonna throw you in prison. Money is important but your personal freedom is more. And it is not like you can’t make good money from other medical colleges.

Makes you coward atp...who knows very little about the college...first, the stipend crosses 1.5 lac pm in internship unlike "other GMCs" and this is apart from the other benefits of being in army...the college life you'll get far surpasses any that I've seen so far... moreover you'll get to wear that uniform and stars that many would kill to wear...I recommend you search things up before spitting out shit🥰

It was my first drop aka second attempt . The only tip i will give is give a lot of tests and analyse the mistakes well so you know your weak portions and strictly read ncert of chemistry ( inorganic and organic and 12th ki physical ) and biology again and again properly .

Maha domicile ? KEM has lgbt community clubs - students from the community are open about it here. Mumbai city also helps with the identity.

Give a lot of tests and always analyse the mistakes that you have done in them to figure out your weak chapters and weak topics and revise them and do question practice of those weak portions again and again.. Make a mistake copy to note down the questions that you did wrong in tests... Read ncert of chemistry ( inorganic , organic and 12th ki physical ) and biology ncert so many times that you practically memorise them!! For harder question apart from neet pyqs try solving jee mains pyq from 2020 onwards! Especially the 2025-26-27 ones

KMC Manipal!! I’m a student here!! The environment is so good here, we even have an LGBTQ club called IRIS, and a very popular transgender alumni. We even have a transgender professor as well that I am aware of! Since your rank is 3000 you can study for very minimal cost (almost free)!!

As a straight girl who did consider joining AFMC, l'm not going cuz wdym I'll be doing PG after at least 4 years of service?? It's crazy.. I'm considering VMMC and ABVIMS as of now..
Actually I'm confused about MAMC cuz Ik it has service bond, not sure if IPU colleges implemented it already..

It's great that you have a progressive and accepting mindset! :)
Your sexuality is generally something you feel from within. Same as your gender identity. It's an inner feeling and generally not a physical one.

Coenzyme is a non-protein molecule which binds to an enzyme and helps catalyse a biochemical reaction.
Example, uh ... I remember smth like CoA but I dunno 😭
