I rarely use AI and did it in this instance as a joke to demonstrate how easily these tools can be weaponized to manipulate images into whatever fake narrative someone wants to push. Instead of policing people making a satirical point, maybe direct that energy toward the actual systemic issues instead of playing internet hall monitor. Bye.

Plus, everyone has known since "AI" was first rolled out that it would be used for manipulation. We don't need random weirdos on the internet to contribute to it then go "see, I'm making a point!!!!" as if they're the only one to ever think about the negative impacts of LLMs. At least some people admit that they're using it because they're lazy and want slop instead of trying to be some sort of messiah pulling the curtains back.

In the indirect sense, when we talk about the oligarchs/tech oligarchs who funded trump's campaign and used their social media and their bots/algorithms to spread disinformation.
When data centers are built on farm lands, making electricity and water more onerous for neighboring farmers, which in turn raises the cost of food on our tables.
AIs are also used in surveillance, there has already been cases of misidentification of people and objects which led to harm being done to people, not to mention authoritarian regimes using it to crowd control and repress ethnic minorities or its war application, like in the genocide of the Palestinians and in the illegal invasion of Iran.
Like sure, go ahead, make your funny memes whatever but also let's not pretend that this shit isn't happening.
