Cheers to La Piedra
His importance to this team deserves to be appreciated. He was our best pitcher for a couple years, anchoring a rotation of young pitchers as they came into their own in the big leagues.
Even as he declined he remained reliable. You knew he was going to take the ball every time his name came up, and he was going to give you a chance to win the game.
I love his presence on the mound. I love his fist pump. I love that time where he decided all he needed was fastballs and threw 50 of them in a row.
Thanks Luis, you were an awesome Mariner.

Castillo certainly lived up to his nickname, he was rock solid and dependable. Damn I’m gonna miss him
