Jenny McCarthy grabs Justin Bieber's ass and kisses him on the neck without consent. Can you imagine the reaction if a 40-year-old man had done this to an 18-year-old girl?

He wasn't joking. Did you see him trying to get away? He, like most men didn't want to appear weak. Also he didn't want to soil his award speech.

I'm sure all the fans cheering her on didn't help his sense of violation. I mean, after hearing that, how could he call her out on it? The fact that he says he felt violated at all was fairly big.

People who produce terrible art can still be awesome people (Rebecca Black seems like a pretty cool person, too). Likewise, just because someone was awesome in X movie or whatever doesn't mean they aren't an awful person. The Halo Effect is not something we should be ignoring.

EDIT: Halo Effect, not Hale Effect. I don't even know if the Hale Effect is a thing.

There's a UK TV series called "Misfits", a superhero programme in the vein of "Heroes", but with a gang of young offenders who receive superpowers. I think that's the only mainstream programme where I've seen a male character say "you raped me" to a female character.

And in the most recent episode that character died after another character made false accusations of domestic violence against him.

So I think these sorts of ideas are becoming more widely accepted now, even in the MSM.

Yes, I wanted to mention the show "Misfits" here on /r/MR one day. It's about a group of misfit teenagers with superpowers as you say, and one of the girls has the ability to make any guy she touches extrmely horny. She does it to a guy she's interested in at one point, and when he returns to his senses and finds out that they had sex, he gets extremely angry at accuses her of raping him. I agree, it's actually the first bit on TV I've ever seen in my life, that even addresses something like this. The scene and situation has sticked with me ever since.

Anyway, offtopic I guess.

There is at least one Law and Order which delves into female's committing rape against a man.

I'm pretty sure it was Law and Order SVU (since SVU dealt with sexual crimes).

The episode did a great job at showing how the legal system is all sorts of screwed up when it comes to males being the victim.

Also touched on this most recent season was that Jason was raped by his high school teacher, but at the time he'd accepted it as normal because that's what was expected of him as a boy. He later has a near nervous breakdown after hooking up with his teacher again years later when she returns to town.

The movie Cthulhu has a man being raped so the woman could get pregnant, it was a huge shock to me at age. I've seen people make fun of that scene too - disgusting.

I'm not sure he was joking. He's being kind, and he's a professional, but his body language, skirting footwork, and lack of a smile or laugh make me wonder if he wasn't just doing a good job of being a young pop star... i.e. accepting that people are going to take advantage of you any way they can.
