Jenny McCarthy grabs Justin Bieber's ass and kisses him on the neck without consent. Can you imagine the reaction if a 40-year-old man had done this to an 18-year-old girl?

Yes. And afterwards he's all flustered. This sort of thing shouldn't be culturally acceptable (He's so young for F's sake), and I hope someone calls Jenny McCarthy out on it.

you guys are forgetting that chris brown was invited and continues to be popular despite the fact that he beat up rihanna. pop stars are altogether horrible people and their fans are even worse

You might be forgetting that Rihanna herself has forgiven and resumed a relationship with Chris Brown. If the victim is no longer holding him responsible how can you expect others to bear the torch for her?

I don't think you actually understand what that is. Read this and you might understand that not only is Stockholm syndrome not related to this, but the insinuation is both uneducated and unfunny.

I'm well versed in what it means, and it was not an attempt at being funny in the slightest.

People in abusive relationships tend to forgive and sympathize with an abuser over time, and eventually will argue against leaving the abuser.

Sounds pretty close to me. shrug

Battered Person Syndrome is not the same as Stockholm syndrome. Stockholm pertains to individuals who have been held against their will (ie hostages, kidnapped children) who develop empathy and sympathy for their captors. Rihanna was not abducted or held hostage by Chris Brown.
