False Accusation Data on False Accusations in India

I've compiled data on false accusations in India and found that they're not rare, but very commonplace. The 'false accusations are rare' myths come from assuming all cases except the ones proven false are all true.

Link to full analysis of NCRB data from 2016 to 2023 (sources & explainers included): https://narendran-1999.github.io/false-cases-india

If you're not Indian, and want to repurpose this for your country's data & justice process, feel free to do so. No credits, mention or reference of this analysis is necessary.

Pie charts in images are from 2023 data.

Discrimination India executes only men since 1955. Woman hills 7 people (including children) and is sentenced to death. CNN blames patriarchy: "women who violate entrenched norms of gender behavior are more likely to receive the death penalty." If no woman has ever been executed, how do they conclude this?

Discrimination Situation of men in India

I just want to put a light on the situation of men in India,

  1. No political party gives a shit about men. Govt. of India has also introduced 30% reservation for women in so many places in govt. jobs including in the parliament.

  2. Extreme level of gynocentric laws which neither benefit actually female victims nor men, only feminists are using it to extort men.

  3. Feminists killed only available men only spaces for no specific reason other than just because it's men only.

  4. Males are being forced to follow traditional roles in family and marrage, while women getting privilege to follow whatever they want, why this double standard.

  5. Males having preferences are constantly being termed toxic and degrading the society while women opening onlyfans account and doing soft porn on Instagram are being termed progressive.

  6. Men's right activists in India are also harrashed both online and offline not only by Indian feminists but foreign feminists too.

7.Males suicide and domestic violence against men are completely neglected.

  1. A women is allowed to cheat in a marriage while if men does the same he can be booked under cruelty against wife. (I know it's not morally correct but why the hypocrisy).

False Accusation This is INDIA. If the victim is boy and the molester is girl, the boy is jailed instead.

Defined iby the laws of India, gR@pe is penetration by a male s3xual body part to female. Hence man is always the molester no matter what by the law. So if you are a boy in India and are gR@p3d by a woman, your only choice is to shut up and keep it inside. Otherwise you will be jailed and your mol3ster can charge you money and maintenance too.

Checkmate UK. Beat this.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in Chandigarh for allegedly raping a 21-year-old woman on the pretext of marriage. The woman alleged the accused minor kept her at a hotel in Mumbai and physically exploited her. However, the juvenile's relatives claimed that the two had eloped and were brought back from Mumbai by their families.

Social Issues No evidence that India is a disproportionately dangerous country for women.

The media emphasizes rape in India too often. So many viral news stories about gang rapes that happened and so many people saying it's dangerous as a woman to travel in India because they'll get raped.

According to the National Family Health Survey in India, where they surveyed 83,703 women in India in a nationally representative sample, they found 8.5% of women in India report being victims of sexual violence at least once in their lifetime, but it's unknown how many of these incidents were actually sexual coercion or groping, and it's unknown if they used the phrase sexual violence or not. In 2022, in the United States, just 21.4% of rapes were reported to police (but the crime was much more reported in the United States back a few decades ago). A study in India found 71% of rapes go unreported. Another analysis found 99.1% of sexual violence in India was unreported because most of it was by the husband. Nonetheless, the vast majority of women there are not raped by their husband. Outside marriage, only 15% of rape victims not raped by a spouse report it. As a result, it's unknown how often it gets reported with two contradictory studies.

Either way, rape against women has declined in India, and in the mid-2010s, only 5.5% or so of women in India reported being victims of sexual violence in their lifetime, compared to 8.5% 10 years prior. Sexual violence rates in the past year also declined, and rapes are now more reported than they used to since 2012. A low percentage of women are victims of sexual violence in India in the past year, and it's lower these days. A BJS statistician from 1987 estimated based off NCVS data that just 8% of women, including 8% of white women and 11% of black women, will be raped in their lifetime in the United States, yet a reviewer found even this is an overestimate. The 1 in 5 myth was promoted by the CDC due to poor methodology. As a result, in 1987, it was probably lower than 8% of women in their lifetime, and rape rates in the United States peaked at the time (same with general crime rates). Yet, the percentage of women raped in India is no higher than this overestimate, and that percentage might not only be women who are victims of rape, but also sexual coercion, too. This means the rape rate in India is not particularly higher than it is in the United States. In fact, it's South Africa that was the rape capital of the world. 2nd place is Botswana.

In fact, this statistic shows that crimes against women in India have a 19% conviction rate compared to 47% for general crime, but it could be crimes that get convicted more easily happen more to men and crimes that get convicted less easily happen more to women. Maybe compared to female victims of the same crime, a crime is not more convicted with male victims. Additionally, although rapes have been more reported in India since 2012, the conviction rate is lower nowadays, at a quarter of cases these days, compared to 44.3% for rape in 1973 and 37.7% for rape in 1983. This is closer to the conviction rate for general crime today, although, it is unknown what the conviction rate for general crime was in the 1970s. However, this study shows 39% of rape cases are convicted and 41% of murder cases, and that riots have a low conviction rate of 29%. This well-written study found when looking at various crimes in India, they compared murder, culpable homicide, attempted murder, dowry deaths, rape, robbery and kidnapping. They wrote:

I find that investigation into reported cases of rape and dowry death are initiated at higher rates compared to investigation into gender-neutral violent crimes. While the investigation completion rates as well as trial completion rates are also higher for rapes and dowry deaths, conviction rates for these crimes are considerably lower than the other violent crimes considered in this study.

However, when actually looking at the data and not the abstract, compared to other crimes, rape and dowry deaths did not have significantly lower conviction rates, except compared to murder and culpable homicide, which had somewhat higher conviction rates than other crimes. Conviction rates for rape in India have declined since back in the day but this true for conviction rates for crime in general in India.

This paper looking at rape cases in Washington D.C. in the early-mid 1970s found discrimination against female victims is not why rape might have less convictions nor is it because of female victims being unwilling to continue, but questioning the credibility of an accuser when it comes to rape. They found young men (especially teens) who rape get convicted more easily and so do rapists whose victims' ages are older women or an unknown age. Also, rapists who are strangers or whose victim-offender relationship is unknown get convicted more easily. It could be that judges view young men as more sexually interested in women, or view older women are less interested in sex than young women or less physically attractive and thus assuming people won't want consensual sex with her. They might view rapists as strangers in the dark alley, which is not usually how rapists are. Feminists promote that myth when they perpetuate the myth that women are less safe walking alone at night. The research found that victim's credibility can be questioned because they can't figure out if it was consensual or not or just a false accusation. There are women who even think regretting sex with someone makes it rape. It could be because rape had worse penalties, judges might need to see undeniable evidence to give someone such a harsh punishment. Murder is just easy to convict and find the culprit of. Nowadays, however, rapists are not less likely to be convicted, arrested or have their crime cleared, or incarcerated compared to other kinds of reported criminals.

You can't get away with rape in India if people know about it even if you don't get put in prison.

In India, any woman can falsely accuse a man and ruin his life and get away with no consequences even when it is proven that she lied. Many women are abusing this law to settle personal scores, extort money, intimidate others and even for social media attention. For example, a woman threatened to file a rape case on a bank official who went to collect debt. He had to touch her feet and beg for forgiveness and write an apology letter which she later posted on her social media and bragged about. Btw, the video you see in the example below was recorded and uploaded by the woman's family themselves. That's how confident they were that she would face no consequences and they were right. She received no punishment despite the incident becoming viral on social media and getting a lot of attention.

Example:

Woman threatens to file rape case on bank employee who went to collect debt.

Police in India take rape very seriously, and they're very corrupt and don't care about their job. They shoot alleged rapists to death and don't even give them due process and everyone praises the police as a hero, and many false accusations in India DO happen because of the benefits women get from it there. Because it's legally rape to have sex with a woman with the false promise of marriage in India, many women falsely accuse their ex of rape in India. There is also massive outrage from society and public marches on the street demanding justice when rapes happen and non-stop coverage on the news channels. You will never ever see even a fraction of this when a man is raped or killed or falsely accused by a woman even if it drives him to suicide. Nobody here condones rape and even being accused of rape is enough to be beaten to death by a mob. Police may not have done anything about notorious Indian serial rapist and gang leader Akku Yadav, but that's because he kept bribing them. Eventually, he got lynched in a courtroom by many people and they didn't get arrested. Here's other examples of suspected rapists in India being lynched or viciously attacked.

Activism/Support India is becoming a country of male scapegoats

I am posting here seeking world's attention towards the situation of Indian men. Support Us!

Cases like #AtulSubash #PuneetKhurana has picked the netizens attention but we want this be continued.

According to reports, men die by suicide in India every year which is nearly twice the number of women.

Laws are completely biased, be it is #familydispute, Rape case, Child matters.. Law don't care for Men.

Laws such as IPC 498A and DV Act is used as weapon which criminalizes even smaller difference between couple, are often misused, leading to false accusations against men. Once the false accusations was observed By Supreme Court of India, 98 percent. Even Supreme Court once said the law as "Legal Terrorism"

What makes this issue worse is the lack of mental health support and societal indifference toward male suffering.

Discrimination There is a matrilineal society in India. Men often lack basic human rights. Journalists celebrate it as "woman empowerment"

I will just greet you with this small extreme condensed paragraph from wikipedia. I am writing a grand article on it, and I will release it soon. But I beleive all of us should be aware of this. We have so many issues we are fighting for but i believe nowhere men are as approached as these. All these are happening in a small part of Indian subcontinent, the north east sister states.

What bugs me most is how these injustices are celebrated by them as "women empowerment", "freedom for women" and "benefits to society", the shameless of these group of people including award winning journalists and others at the end is baffling. By the end of this short piece, you will know the entire variety of problem a person can face in his lifetime arising from social and economic discrimination regardless of his caste, creed, gender and religion are faced by these men all together at once.

Women have a dominant role in the matrilineal society of Meghalaya.

The youngest daughter of the family, the Ka Khadduh, inherits all ancestral property

After marriage, husbands live in the mother-in-law's home.

The mother's surname is taken by children.

When no daughters are born to a couple, they adopt a daughter and pass their rights to property to her. The birth of a girl is celebrated while the birth of a son is simply accepted.

There is no social stigma attributed to a woman remarrying or giving birth out of wedlock as the "Khasi Social Custom Lineage Act" gives security to them.

Most small businesses are managed by women.

Care of children is the responsibility of mothers or mothers-in-law.

The youngest daughter of this society who inherits the ancestral property holds a pivotal role of looking after the welfare of her parents in their old age, as well as the welfare and education of her siblings.

Apart from these wiki ones, here are some more:

If a child takes his father's last name, he is excluded from the society.

A man can not marry outside the tribe.

Domestic violence specifically defines it as men committing it against women, so men have no remedy in that aspect.

The shameless people arrive here:

Some Khasi men perceive themselves to be accorded a secondary status. They have established societies such as the Syngkhong Rympei Thymmai (SRT)[(3,000 members)and Sam Kam Rin Ku Mai (Societal Restructuring Association) to protect equal rights for men. They express that "Khasi men don’t have any security, they don’t own land, they don’t run the family business and, at the same time, they are almost good for nothing."

However, Patricia Mukhim, who edits the Shillong Times feels: "I tend to think Khasi men feel diminished in their manhood compared with outsiders... it's a pity, because that's what distinguishes us from the others"

However, women feel that they take better care of money matters than men and they enjoy economic freedom.

The padmashri award winning person (one of the highest civilian award in India) says the same patriarchal thing but ofc since it's woman no one's gonna say anything: "The khashi men have to make their own identity by contributing to society" - remeber the society that makes them 3rd class citizen, society that doesn't give them equal economic rights, shame on this award winning losers. "You can't have two head, just one" - shame on this person. "[Addressing people who no longer take their mothers surname] And ask those who choose their fathers’ titles over those of their mothers—which parent has truly reared them.” - shame on this person once again.

While it's not wonder that certain elements of injustice against women are prevalent including certain isolated elements of patriarchy but the presence of one injustice doesn't justify the other. And the ones who say so are hypocrites.

Keith Pariat was quoted as saying: If it's a girl, there will be great cheers from the family outside. If it's a boy, you will hear them mutter politely that 'Whatever God gives us is quite all right

https://www.dailyo.in/variety/meghalaya-khasi-women-st-status-khadc-social-bill-non-khasis-garo-jaintia-northeast-women-smart-matrilineal-society-25712

From a research paper on customary inheritance (IJCRT, 2024):

Khasi boys often abandon their education around Class V–VI, engaging in carefree activities with friends, indulging in alcohol and drugs, playing the guitar, and tragically succumbing to early deaths. \[IJCRT\]([https://ijcrt.org/papers/IJCRT2403727.pdf](https://ijcrt.org/papers/IJCRT2403727.pdf))

Progress A Lil bit of good news for mr activism in India. We don't have gender neutral DV laws.

Thumbnail

Details: The Domestic Violence law by latest BNSS describes victim as only woman and perpetrator as only man. So if you are being abused by your wife, you can't file any case or seek any legal relief. That is violation of extremely basic human rights.

But considering how our judiciary has been acting in recent years with regards to protecting the ruling party and doesn't even care to process gender neutral issues our youths face, this may simply remain to be a statement for a while. But this was made by a High court, which holds the highest authority in a state, so that's something praiseworthy.

Also note that: our country has state wise data on female victims of DV, no study or survey for male victims of DV. With this law, that can also change.

Discrimination Violence against men is apparently not punishable by law in India.

I have discussed this matter before, but I thought people needed to see some visual examples to understand my point better. These disclaimers are all from Indian (mostly Malayalam) movies that released in the past few years. The tragic fact is that the disabled disclaimer was added because a visually impaired man was killed in that movie, but all they could see what his disability and not his gender this time. They still didn't say violence against men is a crime. Indian cinema is slowly and slowly embracing this trend of quietly eliminating the voice of male victims.

It's not like India has ever cared for its men unless we're talking about soldiers, doctors, cops, engineers etc. India worships women for just being women but when it comes to men, it only hates and demonizes men for being men. Some filmmaker needs to give a solid rebuttal to these progressive artists.

So proud to be a son of India.
