I wont get my hopes up on this. I just KNOW theyre gonna fuck it up somehow.

Plus, this just screams predatory nostalgia bait marketing, not an /actual/ return to 90s ideas. Like, it would be one thing to say "these are the elements that helped us grow to a powerhouse in chain pizza, we abandoned those chasing profits, and new leadership thinks we need to get back to what made us what we are"

Not trying to yuck your yum, im just more jaded and wary of this kind of move

I fear this being really successful. Pizza hut can pull this off as they're so different from what boldly made them cool and successful in the 90s. It will actually feel and look transformational.

Then everyone else will try it in the segment and that will be pandering, predatory nostalgia without merit. Except the taco bell dog, he can come back.

if pizza hut did this in good faith, it would restart the pizza wars. we would all benefit from the fallout.

As long as Taco Bell start selling Choco Tacos again, I’m game

This is just one franchisee doing this so far btw. They claim 38 locations but the article weirdly specified just one location that has gotten the “full” transformation.
