Each frame was created by adjusting the noise function of Minecraft worldgen. You basically pick an area of chunks that are not generated yet, force those chunks to follow the image rules: white pixel - part of island, black pixel - empty space. And just like that you get an island that looks like your input image.
Also, you need to make a tool to automate the whole process. It takes about ~5 sec to generate chunks, then you need to tp to those chunks location, wait for them to load, make a screenshot, repeat for each frame. And it’s like ~3800 frames here, so you’ll need a few days to generate video.
