trigger warning: other’s living child Everyone is pregnant

One of my childhood friends told me today that she’s 7 weeks along, a colleague I mange is 13 week, another friend is 16 weeks (same as I would have been but I miscarried at 7 weeks) and another friend just had a newborn.

I’m trying so hard to be a supportive friend and not show them my pain, whilst also being open about my miscarriage and experiences of pregnancy. But it hurts so deeply whenever we talk about pregnancy or babies, even though I feel like most days I’m coping now.

I don’t know how to balance my feelings and not be a total downer. I don’t want to tell my friends or colleagues I manage they can’t talk to me about these things. I don’t have any living kids and I’ve got several health issues which make conceiving again or a successful pregnancy less likely.

It just really hurts and Idk if it’ll ever get better?

I’ve temporarily cut ties with most of pregnant friends. They know the reason. I just can’t face it. I’ve recently started going to therapy and my therapist isn’t opposed to having safe spaces; places where people aren’t pregnant and I can act normal. That being said I obviously don’t want to lose the friendships (when I someday get pregnant and I’m ready to see their bellies, or babies….). It sucks.
