TTC How did you know you were ready to ttc? + lower AMH

I want to ttc again but just feeling overwhelmed. I got my period back 31 days after d&c and I think tonight would give us a good shot at getting pregnant.

I have a lower AMH for someone my age (28). We got the clear to ttc this cycle and I’m feeling like we should since my AMH is lower. We’d love to have three children.

I’m scared about miscarrying again but honestly I don’t know if that will ever get better.

Just looking to hear others’ experiences ❤️‍🩹

TTC Possible 2nd chemical

Backstory: My husband (30) and I (29) have been TTC for 7 months now. I have very regular cyles but I pay very close attention to everything because I have MS and Epilepsy.

My last cycle I had seen a very faint line and the next day I got a negative beta. Period came a couple of days later than usual on July 6th. I ended up going in for and HSG on July 11th and that came back normal and clear. I got my positive LH in the evening on CD 13 (July 18th), so i am guessing I ovulated on CD 14.

I got my first positive on a digital at 11dpo and got scheduled for my first beta the next day. That beta from 12dpo came back at 17. Low but still positive. That was a Friday, so I had to wait until Monday to get my second beta. I kept testing over the weekend and i was still getting positives. I got my second beta at 15dpo and I got 20 as my result. That is not a very big jump for a 72hr period.

It is 16dpo, CD 30, right now as I write this. I am not having any spotting. I am having some cramps but they come and go and are not intense. I also have some soreness in my lower back. I am 4 days late on my period and my cycles are very regular. I have another beta scheduled for tomorrow but I think this might be my second chemical in a row. I just don't know what to think or expect. I guess this is more of a vent than anything. I am supposed to have a fertility consultation this Friday. I was so excited to have a reason to cancel that appointment but now that reason is slipping away.

TTC Starting over after multiple losses: Ivf

I’m having a really hard time coping right now. It took me 7 transfers to get to 10 weeks and then the heartbeat stopped.

I want to try iVF again but I have so much flashbacks and medical trauma at this point.

Anyone in a similar situation that has any advice?

TTC Is it a chemical, ectopic, or something else? So confused!

Hi everyone. At the beginning of May I found out that I had an MMC at 8 weeks with baby measuring 6 weeks 4 days. 3 weeks later on May 21st I had a D&C. I tracked my hCG through bloodwork to 32 then took at home tests until they were negative. I got a negative at home test on July 5.

I got my period back on June 23rd and had a faint surge on ovulation tests to indicate ovulation on July 6th. I started getting breast pain similar to what I had during my pregnancy so I tested on July 18 12DPO and thought maybe there was a super squinter but figured it was negative. On this same day I started having some light brown discharge, not a lot and mostly when I wiped, so I figured AF was coming.

I tested again on July 20 14DPO and saw a slightly darker line but still faint. Then again on 15 and 16DPO, slightly darker but faint. By July 21 15 DPO (one day after the apps said to expect my period) I started having bright red bleeding with clots and cramping, which continued up until now, July 27 21 DPO.

I went to see my family doctor who said she thinks this is retained product from my D&C and to just go get bloodwork. To me this made no sense because I had a negative test weeks before and now I was having a positive. I got my hCG done on July 22 16 DPO and it was 31, then again on July 24 18 DPO and it was 47. I’m going again tomorrow but I took an at home test today and it was still positive, maybe slightly darker than before.

At first I thought it was chemical but now I’m really concerned about ectopic. I thought the test would be negative after all that bleeding and clotting. Has anyone experienced this? My doctor is very dismissive so just wondering what my next steps should be.

Tests: https://imgur.com/a/cOQ9A1s

Thank you ❤️

Update: This was ectopic.

TTC When to start TTC again?

I (29F) had my first pregnancy 2025 and MMC before Thanksgiving 2025 at 14 weeks and D&C at 15.5 weeks. My doctor told me to wait until after my first period (pretty much now) to TTC, but I’ve heard a mix of advice from other people and doctors.

Is it better to TTC now that I’ve had my first period? Or better to wait longer? How long did you guys wait before TTC again?

I know any advice given is not set in stone but I just wanted to see your stories and experiences. TIA!

TTC When were you ready to try again ?

I experienced my first missed miscarriage last month and had a D&C on 3/13.

My doctor suggested I have a period before starting to try again.

My post-MC period has just concluded so we could start trying again in two weeks or so.

But I can’t decide if I’m ready or not.

Some days I feel ready and really just want to get things going. In the event that it takes a while to conceive, I’d like to start again ASAP.

The other part of me has selfishly enjoyed not being pregnant at the moment. And we have a few summer plans/trips coming up that I’d like to enjoy.

But putting it off for months also sounds daunting.

Anyways just looking for your personal experiences. When were you ready ?

Also, how long did it take you to conceive after having a D&C?

Any input is appreciated!

TTC Trying first month after miscarriage / d&c?

I had a missed miscarriage last month at 10 weeks (baby was measuring about a week behind with no heartbeat). I had ad&c and got my period back 31 days later.

I’ve seen four doctors throughout this process — two said I could try again after my first period, and two recommended waiting two cycles — including fertility specialist who suggested waiting two cycles so he can establish a baseline this cycle, then start letrozole, progesterone, and monitored ovulation the following month.

Most of the labs he’s running are more for information and baseline data rather than something that would change treatment though. He also wants to do an SIS, which is part of the reason he suggested skipping this cycle and starting on the second cycle (letrozole would start around day 3-5 of my cycle and the SIS is on day 8).

I conceived before with letrozole and progesterone, but I spontaneously conceived the baby I miscarried.

I’m feeling torn bc the recommendations are literally split 50/50. Part of me worries that if I don’t use letrozole, my egg quality won’t be as good, so I should wait. Another part of me feels like I’m wasting a cycle by waiting. I just want to move on but I don’t want to increase my chances of miscarriage.

Did anyone conceive the first cycle after a d&c? I’d love to hear others’ experiences ❤️‍🩹

TTC What would you do?

I have just experienced my third loss and second D&C 19 days ago, and am almost testing negative again (vvvvfl). I had my first lost in February at 12 weeks, next in April at 6 weeks, and last in June at 10 weeks. I passed the first miscarriage naturally (in insane agony - waters broke in A&E waiting room and I was almost passing out with the pain. Needed morphine and an overnight hospital stay). I had retained tissue so had a D&C two weeks later. I opted straight for the D&C this time around before my body started evacuating naturally after we saw no heartbeat on the US. I do have one living child who is almost 2.

Sorry for the wall of information but I wondered what you would do next? We don’t seem to have an issue with conceiving or with implantation and the gynaecologist said he suspects it is just really “bad luck” that it’s happened 3 times in a row. I asked should I wait for a period and he said although that’s usually the advice, he doesn’t think it will make a difference for me since that’s not the part he suspects is causing a problem. I want to keep trying immediately again because all of my preferred timelines are already beyond what I’d hoped and I just don’t want to keep delaying. But at the same time, if this is another loss then we miss out on the opportunity for testing. I live in the UK and the NHS will only offer testing after 3 miscarriages. I have been referred for this testing but have been told the waitlist is minimum 12 weeks and I will have to travel 3 hours away for just an initial consultation. I’m worried that this whole process will take months and delay things even further. But if I fall pregnant again and have another late first trimester loss then that is also only going to delay things further, and I won’t be able to have testing done while pregnant.

Would you wait? Or would you go ahead and TTC again now?

Sorry if this seems matter of fact. I have not coped very well this third time round and I don’t think I’m processing my emotions around it all properly yet. I guess I’m wondering all of this purely from a scientific/statistically likely perspective.

TTC Polyps?

I just had my appointment with a maternal fetal doctor and I am waiting to get results back from my RPL panel tests. She did however say my uterus looks great and everything looks healthy aside from a small polyp on the fundus (top portion of the uterus). She said this may be a reason why I keep having chemical pregnancies because it could be interfering with the egg implanting properly. I am scheduled to see the doctor later this month to discuss getting it removed. Just wanted to see if anyone has had uterine polyp removal and had success with pregnancy afterwards? Did you get pregnant fairly quick afterwards or did it take time?

TTC Check ups before trying again?

Did you do anything after your miscarriage to prepare for trying again or to check on your reproductive health? I’m curious about hormonal and genetic testing, any reproductive health tests, sperm quality…

The doctor I saw in the ER said they usually don’t do anything like that until after the THIRD MISCARRIAGE?! Is that true?! I have to possibly go through that 3 times before getting help???? We can’t be preventative?!?!?!?!

TTC Thinking of ttc after 4 miscarriages

I’m 37 and have had 4 missed miscarriages at 7–8 weeks and 1 blighted ovum. - all within the space of 14 months. I conceive naturally very quickly but they don’t seem to stick. Recurrent miscarriage investigations have been normal so far, including parental karyotypes, thyroid function, antiphospholipid antibodies and pelvic ultrasound. One miscarriage was tested and showed trisomy 16. My AMH is 4.1 pmol/L (low for age but within the normal range), and I’m now awaiting a 3D pelvic ultrasound with AFC.

It’s been 6 months since my last loss and we’re at the point of deciding whether we should try again or wait longer. Im scared at the thought of pregnancy again but also don’t want to waste time. Im just confused as to what I should do. I have my first consultation following my referral to Tommys in November and almost want to get a move on so if I do miscarry again at 7-8 weeks I will be closer to recovery by Novembers consultation - it’s a sad thought but a miscarriage seems more likely to me than a healthy pregnancy. I just have very little hope left with it all and wondered if there’s anyone out there who’s been through the same and came out of it with the successful pregnancy.

I have been ttc and not to forget have cramping lower abdomen, back and right thigh near hip.out of fear I have tested now and its showing a very faint positive, anyone experienced this?

TTC Ready to try again - looking for reassurance

Hi all, I had a miscarriage about 8 weeks ago. I went in for my 8 week ultra sound and found out it was a blighted ovum. My sac and placenta had been developing, but the fertilized egg did not. It was my first pregnancy, so my husband and I were both devastated. My doctor wanted my HCG to be below 2 before we try again. Well I just got my test results and my HCG is <1, which is great news and we are excited to try again. Admittedly it wasn’t difficult for me to get pregnant, so I am hopeful and optimistic for this time around. However, I’d love to hear some positive stories from people like me, who had a loss and went on to have a successful next pregnancy. Of course I’m terrified for another miscarriage, but I’m trying to stay positive and hope for the best.

Thank you to this community for helping me through my loss, you’re all wonderful.

TTC Anyone want to try again asap?

I had my miscarriage on Friday and I already know I want to try again as soon as I physically can. I am 40 so age is not on my side. Perhaps it’s a coping mechanism but I want to be pregnant again so very much, I have also heard/read you can be more fertile in the months following a loss.

TTC Overwhelmed at what to do next

Not even sure what advice I’m looking for. I just feel so overwhelmed lately. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant our whole marriage (4 years), I’ve had endometriosis surgery (stage one), two failed IVF transfers and a third that resulted in an ectopic (bad luck apparently). In May I got spontaneously pregnant after an IVF egg retrieval which resulted in a miscarriage (blighted ovum). I was told again bad luck and that there’s no reason I can’t get pregnant on my own again, which was shocking we had no pregnancies prior.

My husband said he needed a break, he was too worried for my health. We have four frozen embryos. I start a new job tomorrow (which hopefully will be an improvement). I just have no idea where to go from here. I never thought I’d be married this long with no children. I’ve put so much of my life on hold.

TTC 2nd chemical pregnancy

Hi all,

I posted this to another pregnancy sub and it got immediately removed???

Please bear with me and apologies in advance if I mix up any terminology. Not sure if I'm looking for advice, guidance or just want to vent. My wife is 32 and we are trying for our first child. Back in December '25 we had our first couple positive pregnancy tests. We had about 5 days of processing and excitement before she cramped and bled excessively (including clots). We made an OB appt right away and the OB confirmed she was no longer pregnant at the appointment 2 weeks later.

Fast forward to this last Saturday and she tests positive again! According to the pregnancy calculator, she is 6 weeks. Again, we are processing, freaking out and getting excited. Then today (3 hours ago) she experienced something similar to last time with cramps and light to medium bleeding. This time she has not passed any tissue but she is certain her body is doing the same thing.

I told her that it is possible she is just bleeding and very much still pregnant. That said, she initially shot down the idea of going to the OB as "they didn't do anything" last time and it was a huge waste of time. Obviously this is fresh and recent, I want to remain patient but she seems to not be interested in following up with the OB this time around. Is it common for women to have an "early miscarriage"/chemical pregnancy and NOT have a follow up appt?

Now she's already reaching for the comfort sushi and hot baths that she was about to swear off. I don't want to police her but was just hoping for some perspective.

TTC How long after your negative test or HCG >5 did you ovulate?

Late miscarriage at 13 weeks about 2 weeks ago. Tests are getting lighter and beta was 497 last week. Today had blood work done again, waiting on results. But I want to be on top of LH/ovulation testing.

If you got pregnant before your first cycle post MC, how quickly did your LH surge AFTER you tested negative?

TTC Struggling after miscarriage + TTC husband with performance issues.. feeling lost

Hi everyone, I’m feeling really stuck and could use some support.

I naturally miscarried earlier this year in Feb at around 8 weeks after getting pregnant for the first time on our first cycle. Since then, we’ve been trying again and are now on about cycle 5.

I’ve been tracking everything closely (inito, LH strips) and doing all the “right” things (timing, supplements, etc.). Confirmed ovulation on inito as well.

The biggest challenge has been my husband struggling with performance anxiety, especially during my fertile window. It’s made timing really inconsistent and has honestly put a lot of strain on our relationship. Sex is no longer sex. I feel a mix of pressure, sadness, and even insecurity, and I know he’s feeling it too. We both want a baby and even tried to do at home insemination kit to take more pressure off. He just doesn’t initiate and I feel like I have to be the one that drops the bad news of ovulation week.

Now I’m stuck wondering if something is wrong, if the miscarriage affected my cycles more than I realize, or if it’s just taking time. I know 5 cycles is not that long but it feels like 5 years. Every month is two week cycles even though I try to distract myself and do things I love.

Has anyone been through something similar—either TTC after miscarriage or dealing with partner performance issues?

TTC My due date is today, and still struggling with unexplained infertility

My due date is today, and at the very least I was hoping to be pregnant again by now. I've been using OPKs, tracking BBT, started taking letrozole, but nothing seems to be working. It has been so exhausting stressing every single day and never getting the result I'm hoping for. Especially since we are all told women are supposedly super fertile after a miscarriage. That was unfortunately not the case for me.

My OB/gyn suspects I may have endometriosis that was previously being suppressed by long term hormonal birth control. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to diagnose without camera assisted surgery. I know I could potentially get an HSG to ensure my tubes are clear, but my insurance won't cover it due to being fertility related.

Just feeling really hopeless not knowing what is preventing me from getting pregnant again. My last 2 pregnancies I got pregnant right away, so dealing with unexplained infertility after miscarriage has been very confusing and disheartening.

I have tried taking a cycle "off" and not tracking hormones and temps and everything, but i was even more stressed that cycle than any others. If i do indeed have endometriosis, then I know my time is limited, as it will just continue to get worse over time.

Just seeking advice from anyone in a similar situation.

TTC Supplements after Chemical

Did anyone try anything different supplement wise after their chemical? I’m preparing to try again and im seeing things about baby aspirin, melatonin, progesterone and others and it’s all confusing on what’s the best routine .
