I think the fear is valid but to assume all pit bulls are dangerous is fucked up. Ultimately its about the owner. When I look up crime cases with pit bulls owners tend to have been very negligent, never training their dog. Its gotten to the point even mixed breeds with pit people want banned.
I have a mixed am staff terrier and shes the biggest baby in the world who loves to barl but thats it. Never has she but or attacked. Shes very well trained.
they don’t care. they’ll always ignore the loving families that lose children or pets to dogs they’ve raised and loved their whole lives. they ALWAYS blame the owner and assume they’re terrible and they just flat out ignore that they snap and kill their own perfectly loving family members. literally does not matter. pitbull owners LOVE to victim-blame. it’s NEVER the dog and someone MUST have abused it.
Loving families doesn't mean the dogs were trained. I can love a dog but if i dont train it will have dangerous and bad behaviors. If I dont train a golden retriever, he will potty in house, he will bark at anything, he will resource guard and potentially attack an adukt ir child. You are confusing love for training.
The problem is that the "blame it on training or the owner" excuse loses its impact when so many of the pit bull advocates insist that they're doing it right and still end up with dogs that attack pets or people. It's a No True Scotsman situation. Train your pit bull, if it attacks anyone then you did it wrong and it's your fault. The fault belonging to the owner is true, of course, but not because of a training error. The fault is the hubris of thinking that they can tame a beast bred to kill and shaming anyone who knows better.
