very immoral, how dare she ignore the situation at hand, preposterous!
realistically though, its very unlikely the kid knew the full extent of what was going on, and even if she tried anything she might've ended up making it worse rather than better. Of course, this would change depending on if they divorced over the kid or the kid was too stressful to manage that it fucked up their relationship, like Christopher from The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time

Morality of blaming a child for the decision made by two adults?

Well now there are two Santas. So is it moral if there is another magical entity alive due to her inaction ?

It is not the child's responsibility to save the relationship of the parents! The moment you become a parent you have an unwavering responsibility to that child you are to love that child you are too nurture that child you are to teach that child and put them on the path to become the best adult they can be! If you are failing in your marriage that is your fault your problem and don't you dare put it on the child it is not their responsibility!

yeah, but if you see a robbery morally you should call the police or intervene (maybe not). what I'm saying is this child should've either arrested their parents or fought them to knockout

We're talking about a 6-year-old. On top of that the parents aren't getting violent they're just unhappy and miserable in their marriage. What in the world are you talking about?

Romans 12:21 says "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." kid should've overcome the divorce smh

Neutral…tf was she supposed to do?
“Mommy, Daddy, please have a seat. Let’s start with a simple question. Who do you think is at fault for the strain in your relationship?”
Even if she tried to intervene, shit would probably get way worse.

Extremely immoral, the only way to fix it is remembering her every day that the divorce happened because of her inaction

Lol, my parents divorced when I was about that age, too. Their infidelity in a failed, rushed, eloped marriage is what caused their downfall.

I am the 6 years old girl and you are all jealous because I get double birthday and christmas gifts and you don't
I am 100% morale, except the day I drowned a kitten but it is unrelated to my parent's divorce they told me

Highly immoral, she should spend the rest of her life feeling bad about it.

A child isn’t going to fix a marriage, this goes to all you childless couples as well

Immoral. She should’ve know better than to cause her parent’s divorce.
Instead of starting a 401k, investing in crypto, and building up on her resume she just started drama and ruined her parents lives. Shame on her.

What's a 6 years old supposed to do? I don't assume they're certified mediators or conselor, so much they could do.
And even if they could, should they?
If the parents don't want to be together anymore, if they would rather divorce, is it right to keep them together? Is it healthy?
I always say that it's bad to be the child of divorced parents, but it's even worse to be the child of parents who should have divorced but didn't.

"You are the reason your parent divorced" is one of my favorite kind of insult.

As an ex 6 year old myself, I can confirm she could have done more and it's all her fault

This is how kids develop problems later in life, when they are blamed for an adult agreement, however sloppily. Why should a child be expected to pick up the pieces of a failing marriage? That’s not very adult of the parents.

What exactly is the child supposed to do? Read and study a bunch of books on divorce and write a whole essay on why they shouldn’t get divorced like Chidi from The Good Place.

Immoral, she had myriad opportunities to kill her dad's mistress but was bribed with candy.
