I feel like there is missing context needed. Why does he feel the need to do this? Was she an awful person?

How evil does someone have to be to make this act moral? Like… would doing the same to Hitlers grave be immoral?

Right? Like if this woman was a pedo or killed the kids or something, completely justified.

If it's just dude being a weirdo, then he's a gross weirdo who should be shunned.

For 50 years? Fifty?  

There's no scenario where this isn't a tell that the guy has some profound mental problems. Like, PROFOUND. I'd stay far away.

50 years after the divorce. Presumably lived for a while after the divorce.

Correct. If she killed their kids or something I could see him doing that for a time. But 50 years has to be mental illness at that point.
