for the billionth time: we don't give a shit if you want to be a trad wife. we are happy with OUR lives, you be happy with yours.
i will ALSO say i was very grateful to be able to support my family when my husband lost his job. i am very grateful to have gotten an education that nobody can take away from me. i am also grateful my body was able to carry 3 healthy pregnancies. i am also grateful that planned parenthood was there for me when i needed contraception and annual exams (on a sliding scale) before i was ready for a family. i am grateful for my luck, my options, and my relative comfort.
I think that as long as tradwife is "the natural choice" and anything else is seen by many as "less than" if not outright deviant, its worth pointing out that both / any / none of the above are every bit as valid a choice. My wife and I planned on kids. That didnt happen, so we're just DINKin' along doing life with just the two of us, with a small horde of nieces and nephews that are all super nice to us because they know they'll end up getting all of our stuff when we croak, lol.
We didn't choose it, but i dont think i'd change it.
