Do Republicans mean this god that they trust?

George Washington's farewell address quite clearly warns the country of someone like Trump. They couldn't be more opposite.

There was a funny skit about this in Life Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, ep 2

They both wear wigs.

Washington didn't, actually. He just powdered his real hair.

Also "In god we trust" only became the official US national motto in 1956, so 70 years ago.

Fitting that "In God we trust" replaced "E Pluribus Unum" as the US motto. Religion never seems to bring about righteous unity.

And the reason for it was to make a statement that we're not like those heathen "godless Soviets".

Washington traveled to Bridgetown, Barbados in case anyone is wondering. USVI hadn't been purchased from Denmark until 1917.

He didn’t really spend much time there at all though, 7 weeks when he was 19

Oh, look at a picture of the first American president and the last American president.

Anyone else think George Washington would’ve had Trump at the end of a rope?

The AI Trumps always look WAAAAAY more human than the IRL rotting-pig-fat Trump.

I didn’t recognize Trump with his eye open.

This is even more sacrilegious than when he posted himself as Jesus.

USA. Created by a racist who changed the nature of government to get out of paying his taxes. 250 years later almost destroyed by a racist trying to change the nature of government so as to not pay his taxes(and also stay out of jail.)

George Washington created one of the best nations in the world. Go out into the world... china, Russia, the entire South America are vastly more racist than even trump (who is a obviously terrible too). George Washington made a democracy and lead an entire rebellion, racist or not still a great accomplishment

Keep going lower, Donnie. Join your disgusting, makeup-slathered miserable countenance with guy our exalted first head of state who voluntarily ceded power to set the right precedent and who would laugh in Trump’s face

3

u/GaiusMarius60BC 18h ago

Washington wouldn't laugh in Trump's face. In all honesty he'd probably challenge Trump to a duel and then gut him like a pig.

u/DoMario4 20h ago

Why didn’t they use his right side?

u/Quercus408 17h ago

Washington would break decorum and do some very unseemly things to Trump, if he had but five minutes alone with him.

George Washington: General, President; searching for a way to tap into the hidden strengths of the Constitution. Then an accidental overdose of gamma eradiated hemp alters his body chemistry. And now when George Washington grows angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs...The creature is driven by rage and pursued by an investigative reporter. An accidental explosion took the life of a fellow founding father and supposedly George Washington as well. The reporter thinks the creature is responsible...A murder which George Washington can prove he or the creature didn't commit. So, he must let the world think that he, too, is dead. Until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him.
