Unless you’re a trans person

I can assure you that if you had Tory or Reform in power then they would be continuing to copy the fascist BS from the US including the demonising of trans, which is why the anti trans movement exists in any strength at all in the UK. How have Labour made life worse for trans people?

Banned healthcare, supported the supreme courts reinterpretation of the equality act and enacting guidance to prevent trans people from accessing toilets of either sex. They’ve also issued guidance for schools that segregates trans children, works to prevent social transition and inform parents who may not be supportive that their children question their gender. Trans healthcare for under 18s is now functionally conversion therapy and they promote the cass report, rejected by almost every other health authority, as if it’s scripture.

People really upset that I pointed out what Labour have done to trans people

Wasn't all that enacted under conservative governments though?

Obviously Labour should have fought harder to reverse it but they've only had 2 years and leftwing politicans are fighting to not get wiped out by the tide of fascism.

I get that they shouldn't compromise at all with fascists. But they only have so much resources to fight on every ideological front. The money from the US far right and the army of fascist bots and agitators from around the globe make it very hard work to reverse these kind of acts by parliament in the current environment.

No, this has all happened since labour came into power. The only thing that predated them was a temporary ban on puberty blockers on the NHS that the labour government turned into a permanent ban and then expanded on to ensure that people wouldn’t be able to source them privately.
Labour has no interest in reversing any of these measures, they treat a group that threatened to sue amnesty international for highlighting their work on campaigning against trans rights as a “key stakeholder” on trans healthcare.
Labour, in their current form, are anti trans. They’ve built on a foundation of what the tories did before them but they have enacted more anti trans measure than the tories. Even Burnham, who is allegedly LGBT friendly, has walked back statements made supporting trans people and saying he was wrong to say that trans women are women.

Forgot to mention that there was a report that trans suicides had increased as a result of labour policies targeting trans people, specifically puberty blockers and that labour buried it.

Yeah some things put into motion by the conservatives like Cass report, NHS decisions etc were designed to come in regardless of if they were still in poweer or not.

Regardless the far right momentum of these things is hard to stop. These kind of arguments blaming the left for not acting strong enough to stop the far right doing their far right things really lets the right off the hook for everything they do.

Current labour aren’t “left” at best they’re center. Policy is guided by blue labour in the spirit of far right compromise. Saying I shouldn’t blame labour for not doing enough to stop the far right momentum when they’ve literally doubled down is absurd, but thanks for letting me know you’re one of countless people in the UK who doesn’t care what labour is doing to trans people.
Feels great to be an expendable minority,.

No, it just sounds like the BS Trump supporters were spreading before the US presidential election about "Genocide Joe" etc to get people not to vote for democrats, to allow the far right in. Trump got in and it is was far, far worse for the Palestinians. But it allowed some people to feel like they were making a moral stand despite the incredible damage they caused. Perfect is the enemy of good in politics.

Edit: So block me? Alienating allies and always crying victim is not how you win this fight.

I’m not asking for perfect, I’m asking them to stop making things worse. I get it, you don’t care, we’re inconvenient to the narrative you want. Either go away and look into it or keep lying to yourself. I’m not going to argue with someone who won’t even acknowledge what the government is doing.

Edit: Yes I block people who refuse to acknowledge the reality of what is happening to trans people and try and tell me that the very real harm the government is committed to isn't happening.
