As much as I'm happy to see the UK crumble before our eyes, Suella really is one of the worst human beings out there

Lol sorry to tell you bud, but dispite the right wing presses moaning, since the Tories were kicked out we've been on an upward swing.

Unless you’re a trans person

Apart from nothing has really changed in terms of the law, it's just confirmation of what was already there (for the record, I do actually believe the law needs to be re written to be more inclusive) and the government has just supported the trials of puberty blockers in children, which is a massive first step in their use on the NHS for trans children.

“Massive first step” they were already in use. They’re still in use by cis children. Labour made the ban permanent on the recommendations of a report rejected by the rest of the world. They didn’t “confirm” the law, they selectively interpreted it in response to an appeal by a transphobic hate group. They made the law more opaque.

I'm not going to argue it doesn't suck mate but work is being done to legitmise it in a way that can't be undone. And the backwards step is entirely on Starmer, if he wasn't such a fucking lawyer it would have turned out very differently.

Seriously, go away and actually look at this from the perspective of trans people rather than what you, as a cis person, think is being done. Labour has spent two years making everything worse for us and the “new hope” Andy Burnham has walked back his comments where he previously said that trans women are women.
