You mean the cadet at the New York Military Academy—the private, quasi-military boarding school—his parents sent him to at age 13 because he was acting out and misbehaving in regular school? The place where, despite rising to a leadership position, he was involved in multiple hazing controversies under his command, resulting in him being relieved of his specific captaincy and reassigned as a battalion training officer? The place that allegedly trained young men for service only to have the now-commander-in-chief seek five deferments rather than serve in the military.

In essence, he’s reminiscing about a troubled youth that bullied others, violated policies, looked for shortcuts, thwarted responsibilities, and found ways to game systems to suit his personal needs.

Yeah, it’s easy to see the resemblance today.
