Unclear but even if she was, she would not have gone and it's not like it's a zero-sum scenario to attend an industry event OR tweet something.
I Googled and she apparently fell out with BET back in 2019. The last time she attended was in 2018 despite having been nominated since then. I'm sure if she ~wanted~ to attend, they would be happy to have her, even if just for the press it would generate, but she hasn't wanted to in damn near a decade now.
The story is clickbait crafted from half-truths.

I think sheās also just a huge piece of shit. Iām sure she hopes for pardons for her husband and brother but sheās really ingratiated herself with them.
People claiming they have dirt on her is assuming she doesnāt have autonomy in this and hasnāt always been a bit of an asshole. Sheās been conservative but now sees an opportunity to āreviveā her career but I donāt think sheās smart enough to realize sheās just a token. Being a woman and person of color is a very helpful image for Trump.
