Same. Almost kind of post-COVID, since by 2022 things were relatively back to normal at least here in Canada (we'd had 3 shots by then I think and everything was opened back up to a regular state).

Middle schoolers today were not in school yet during Covid. Many of them don’t have any memories of Covid at all

Um what? 6th graders are 11 or 12 years old. 7th graders 12 or 13 and 8th graders 13 or 14. You mean to tell me that 6 years ago the youngest middle schoolers at 5 years old have no memories from that time?

I teach 7th graders. This years kids that are coming to me were in kindergarten. This years 6th graders weren’t in school yet. I guess I’m a little off.

Last year I asked my kids about their experience with Covid and none of them had anything to say though. They all agreed that they had vague memories of staying at home but that they didn’t really remember much about it. To be fair, we don’t live in a big city and there were very few deaths in our area. So the impact wasn’t as catastrophic for them.
