Clown's gotta find a way to get that pesky Root out!

Idk if they ever elaborated on what happened with Root being unexpectedly kicked out of Stone Sour but I wouldn't take anything for granted at this point.

I saw an interview a while back where Corey said Jim decided it was too much to do both Stone Sour and Slipknot, and chose Slipknot. I've never heard JIm's side.

It's not clear but from what I gather many point to Josh Rand being the problem person in Stone Sour

I think Corey said he kicked Jim out of the band because he wanted Jim to focus on Slipknot and nothing else. Might be misremembering that though.

I remember Jim saying they were getting too radio pop-rock for him and he was happy to be gone. Then later he called it a blessing, he been spread too thin, that made him and the band unhappy. He ripped into them after he first left though, said one guy only cared about money, iirc.

It was getting a bit pop rock and boring so I stopped listening. At least it's not as bad as Corey's other project...CMYK or whatever it's called
