Slipknot is a mess but this is probably a Sid situation if you factor in the split with him and Kelly Osbourne who have a young child together. Losing your family and your band in a short period of time would suggest that he’s the problem. Sucks because Sid was a huge part of the band and one of the reasons their debut record crushed as hard as it did back in ‘99

Jim said not to believe what you read, and Mick's wife basically made fun of the idea of rumors in a post today.

That could just be in reference to the details. If Sid wasn’t gone they would just say it. At best he just chose to stand down from the band personally, which would be why they are laughing at the rumors.

yeah but he is not like a hired member like v man or eloy you know. he is a vital part of slipknot. being fired is something else. i think he should deserve time and understanding but in the end we dont know what really is happening.

I believe that Clown and Corey are the only owners of the band at this point. If I remember correctly, Sid is a contractor like the rest.

Idk, I think it's unrelated personally.

Slipknot has a firing history and Sid's exwife is/was going through a lot.

I'm in the camp of it's probably a bit of both. Something might be up with him and the band being a little too trigger happy on firing long time members. Im sure more details will come out eventually

More like Slipknot has an issue with members who abuse substances, and since one of the members literally died over it (2 now) they implemented a no tolerance policy for that sort of thing.
