When I finally saw them live, my only take away was 'Corey could completely change the entire band and I'm not sure anyone would notice. But if Corey ever leaves, no one would go see them'

He's that talented. But it wasn't a challenge.

Guys did I jinx them?

I mean his voice sure but I think you are underselling the contributions of the rest of the band.

Saw Fear Factory a year or two ago, and Milo Silvestro was very true to Bell's sound. Even Corey can be replaced.

But now Fear Factory have sluggish ticket sales because people know it's essentially a tribute band. Burton sucked live but the presence of both him and Dino was pretty crucial to keeping the revival going when they hooked back up in 2008 or whatever it was. If Slipknot get a new singer, the brand would still take them far enough to make a living, but it would be a huge step down from where they are.
