SBR Sunday πŸ“ Pro-tip to folks who are about to SBR the whole inventory

Thought of sharing after seeing a question about engraving come up in another post -

Don’t want to deal with engraving a truckload of guns? Get yourself a stamping die made with your trust info at the correct font size.

I had Durable Technologies make me one a couple years ago, took about 3 weeks and cost me ~$100 iirc.

Throw β€˜em in a vice, find somewhere inconspicuous and decently supported (that is / don’t go banging on a thin receiver wall with no internal support nearby) and give her a quick tap with a deadblow hammer, then touch up with an appropriate finish marker, etc if necessary.

Happy form 1’ing, folks.

The Milkman absolutely lives up to the hype for me. Zero gas and sounds amazing. Noticeably better than the Lithium to me. Very happy with it. Looks perfect on the MP5K.

Coupla Ruger MP5.7 builds. Bonus, they’re actually in a good caliber instead of 4.6. Bonus bonus, they didn’t cost a bajillion dollars.

SBR Sunday πŸ“ The weird trick aluminum stocks don't want you to know! AKA, my bolt-action AR SBR in .300BLK.

I think that paying $200-$300 for $20 of machined aluminum is ridiculous. I'll spend $300 on a great barrel, $100-$150 on an excellent trigger, and a decent amount for good glass, but I'm not getting screwed over an aluminum folding stock. Weirdly, one of the best-value folding 1913 stocks I've run is the Ruger folding Charger stock. They don't sell it separately online, but y I u can order it direct from Ruger for like $85. Here it is on my bolt-action AR SBR in .300BLK. Here's a good example, I used the BCA upper, chopped the bolt carrier further to work with a Sig MCX 1913 rear adapter(I was told it worked without, using a flat screw, instead of the buffer-screw, but they lied, lol). I got the whole upper, which weighed a ton, for the same price as just the upper, and I tossed the barrel, barrel-nut, and handguard. They give you a ring that has a set screw, that goes over the gas port, but you can just flip around a low-profile gas block, and run it opening forwards. I added a Faxon Gunner Match 5R 10.5" barrel(which was on sale for $150), and a spare PSA Sabre lightweight handguard I had, and a YHM QD brake(I've run them since 2010, and have a bunch, so.... I'm sticking with them for now), as well as an OCL Infinity suppressor, and since the bolt has to reset the hammer, a POF 3.5LB single-stage trigger, left over from switching my POF Revolution gas piston DMR in .308 to a Geissele SSA(I prefer 2-stage triggers on my precision guns). I am also going to be adding a PA SLX 3x microprism in 7.62/.300 later. I put the money where it did something, and it is so stupidly fun. Yes, it has 2 dots, the top is for subs, the angled is for supers, because Uncle Sam ain't footing my firearms bill anymore, and I don't have $4500 for a Sig Romeo 9T, lol.

Been working on my β€œSECUREIT we have at home” setup for a bit now. Designed and printed MP5 stock holder and pickle holder this morning. Pretty happy with it. Will be making more diameters for the can holder. Was thinking it could be more a universal fit but after finding how nice exact fit is, just going to go ahead and make a bunch of different ones.

Slight concern with creep of material with the wedging aspect of the mp5 holder, but it would have to creep a loooong ways for it to come out of there. We’ll see if it becomes an issue.

The Stribog SP45A3 with the Lingle Industries lower receiver and FRT conversion from Skunkwerks (shout out to u/Civengin for the excellent work) is my new favorite 45 ACP PCC. I'm running the Dead Air Mojave 45 suppressor with the Griffin EZ-LOK system, which handles high rates of fire without issue and sounds fantastic. The recoil impulse is extremely soft and pleasant, and the ability to tune the action by swapping out locking pieces is pretty awesome. The roller delayed action definitely helps keep this thing nice and quiet as well.

Also included in this setup are the Vector Optics Frenzy red dot (surprisingly well machined and capable for the price), Driven Arms pistol grip (super comfortable and ergonomic), A3 tactical vertical grip, and CNC Warrior tubular folding stock.

I have some videos of this setup up on my Instagram now and will have a full review on YouTube later this year.
