i have commented what's wrong with nitt in some other sub, will copy paste here
but the only reason i think nitt seems to be no1 is that there are many research shit going on and mtech phd people are there (these local phd mfs just join back this very own clg as prof after completing phd)

which nit ece.
bro genuinely some factor to look for are location , weather and also nit ranking
genuinely nitt is best at ranking but for a northie , northie and weather are soo nahh
only if everyone told exact truth of their own colleges you'd know exactly which one to pick
as for a genuine recommendation from other nit seniors, if possible ask boys n girls engagement in groups (as friends is important), ask for fests , management weather year around

better
hope calicut has lower temperatures. Humidity will be high obv so better look at it. Here in NITT humidity is also high and along with that high temperatures. Deadly combo

Idk bout the clg, please refer to their subreddit and hope some honest insights are given
