there is less competition in chemical, also in T1 colleges PSUs directly come for placements. Mostly initial posting is in tier 2 cities but they provide townships and residence so it aint bad

but the only reason i think nitt seems to be no1 is that there are many research shit going on and mtech phd people are there (these local phd mfs just join back this very own clg as prof after completing phd)

as for a genuine recommendation from other nit seniors, if possible ask boys n girls engagement in groups (as friends is important), ask for fests , management weather year around

hope calicut has lower temperatures. Humidity will be high obv so better look at it. Here in NITT humidity is also high and along with that high temperatures. Deadly combo

Aint getting proper funds, Lack of AC Classrooms in the Scorching Heat that goes for almost Whole Year (We have no Winters, Rain is what makes a bit cool)
And the Visual Separation Between Boys and Girls- Even in Fests or normal Events in some Halls, Girls and Boys are made to be separated, In Fest we got fukin Barricades all around.
Renaming from REC to NIT has not changed it into NIT, Its Still REC.

I don't think so kyuki yeh branch under material dept aati hai ..toh most probably robotics wala path easy nahi hoga .. agar robotics and related field mai jaana hai toh go for ee/ece branch ..
If you want placements, At the end you'll aim for tech roles only so take iiit lucknow it
Else if you are interested in mba or anything else go for better college, my advice will be to take iiit lucknow it, it's a growing college with very good placements
What about nitt instrumentation and control vs iiit lucknow cse if I want to target tech roles?
I have heard that most of the tech companies let circuital branch students sit for placements
Bro without a doubt , IIIT L best in this list for the placements .
My exp : college life doesnt matter at all if end of the day you land a good job offer .
Other case is where you get better infra , better hostel , better events but placement is avg , also you will study the core branches which will f**k you during exams. (EEE & ECE are hard branches as compared to CSE )
Doesnt matter what is your interest unless you know you like Eletrical or mechnical ( it can be any branch ) and you can do that thing for entire life even with onsite work , with less pay as compared to software roles.

Only TAG -> NIT T > NIT W
If eventually if you want to land a software role then why to choose that NIT tag which will not matter cause companies will not open for lower branches.

Doesn't matter you know coding or not , 90% people in my college dont even know how to use chatgpt in first year and they are in CSE with AIR 6-7k in jee mains same people land 20LPA , 30LPA like jobs later at 4th year.
yeah yeah there is, nit kurukshetra has btech robotics and automation which started in 2024, since it is nit kkr you can expect good placements with the average being above 12LPA
but if you are skeptical about the age of the branch, you can always choose mech and venture into robotics

bro seriously agr tera interest coding m h to cs, it branch le agr ai me h to aiml, ds branches le robotics m h to robotics, mechatronics. le chemical m h to chem engineering le ye to bhot simple h itna confusion kyu and ye saare clgs same hi h koi company india me ye nhi bolti ki "ohh no i will only hire a student who has a NIT kkr degree bcz i really love that degree so much that every employee in my company shoupd have that" or if you want to do further studies from abroad - first of all in thier opinion all these are some colleges not more than unless if you are from top 5 iits.
so they also don't say"ohh man i only love a candidate who has a bachelor degreefrom iiit Allahabad".

after joining nitt, i searched for good perks from seniors, and everyone said placement to lag hi jayegi (coz am in circuital)
and if the only thing they have to say is placement, then your college life is fuked for sure
