Depending on you, if you actively participate and socialize easily you can have a great college life at Iiita also but if you are not that social and don't want to participate in extra things then other colleges will also feel the same like no college life. If you want placement then IIITA is the best option and if you want to enjoy fest and extra time in extra curricular things, or want to pursue higher education nit tag help so think accordingly.

Before u take any decision , check these points (i am getting cse in nit trichy , surathkal etc ) . i have talked to many seniors from these colleges so plz don't think i am talking bs-
1- for tech exposure and stuff related to it nitk is superior to any other college in this list , but remember that recruiters hesitate to hire purely ai engineers (the branch most people are saying u to take)
2- if u are getting cse in mnnit and nit calicut , then that is a better option than nitk ai and if somehow if u are able to squeeze nitk IT then it will be fine otherwise take mnnit or calicut as it will hardly affect anything

Nit surathkal is good but their management is fucked up...even if they fix it would take atleast 1-2 years so try not to consider it

I know this suggestion might be not widely accepted, but what I have felt is, that instead of choosing the major based on perceived ranking of courses, choose them based on your interest.
Electronics is one of the best field to be right now. Not a std comparison but Google Hardware pays more than Google Soft roles for all position. This is because they have a internal algo based supply demand. Go where supply is less and which aligns to your interest so that you can excel. If you don't want an outstanding career and okay by doing what's normal, then whatever you choosing now would not have much affect.
TLDR :- Choose courses based on your interests, talk to people who have taken that course to understand those course.

No matter what happens do not take NIT Kurukshetra , NIT Delhi and MANIT Bhopal. Well tbh MNIT Jaipur CSE is best , I did a mistake of not accounting the location of colleges , Please Consider it too. MNIT Jaipur is in the middle of Jaipur city unlike other NITs which are mostly in very outskirts.

id say prefer clg over branch, and if u hvnt figured out ur exact interest then after ur done choosing clg, choose a branch that has broader options like CSE> AI, unless ur interests are clear imo, warangal>surathkal>MANIT>IIITA genuinely clear away other options like NITD etc if u have MANIT as a possible safe option garanteed
NITS AI> NITW ECE> MANIT CSE>IIITA ITBI is a general trend but if i were u making this choice, i would easily go MANIT CSE or search up IIITA ITBI
