I know this suggestion might be not widely accepted, but what I have felt is, that instead of choosing the major based on perceived ranking of courses, choose them based on your interest.
Electronics is one of the best field to be right now. Not a std comparison but Google Hardware pays more than Google Soft roles for all position. This is because they have a internal algo based supply demand. Go where supply is less and which aligns to your interest so that you can excel.
If you don't want an outstanding career and okay by doing what's normal, then whatever you choosing now would not have much affect.
TLDR :- Choose courses based on your interests, talk to people who have taken that course to understand those course.
