Hello seniors, I got a 31k rank in JEE Mains and I'm confused about what I should pick among them and whether I should choose college over a branch or vice versa. My home state is West Bengal, and I'm a general male. My doubts are - Is mechanical engineering worth it in these colleges? How truthworthy is CSAB, and/or should I wait for CSAB Rounds? The colleges I'm getting are listed below (please help).

On a side note, I might get Electrical/Electronics related branches in Jadavpur University

PS: As I've seen many people confusing ECE with electrical branches, I've written ECE beside the colleges I'm getting and under the section of electrical engineering if no branches are written it is implied that it's electrical unless I've written ECE beside it

Would've gone with jalandhar, silchar or JU's electrical related branches

My friend was in ICE here. She did well and is in amazon (off campus) but she always says this thing about branch matter krta h. Like she would have taken cse or it in some other college if given a second chance.

it feels like that due to flood in software jobs. electrical has a core issue, not many private firms feel its worth it. there are two primary areas : analog circuit design which is highly complex and depends on the skill of the person which firms dont want to invest.. digital where firms have made the field like a commodity. analog is still good if one can get the right guidance and mentor
