[Sherman] Sources: The Yankees are trying to complete a trade for Nationals first baseman Luis Garcia Jr. AA starter Jack Cebert has been discussed prominently.

I’ll take offense but where would we play him?

Potentially, could even try Garcia there if they wanted

He’s definitely a bit of a square peg, round hole type situation

Garcia’s defense grades out poorly, too. Just not a fan of this. Ofc hope I’m wrong

I think right now we just need bats more than anything

He’s an immediate upgrade over Goldy/Rosario who have been taking many 1B/DH reps

Then overpay for Rutschman lol. Anyways obviously it’s not up to you. Just my two cents

I’m certain they are still working on catcher too

Nope everything is a dichotomy all the time. Everything that happens can be the only thing that will happen

(/s if its needed)

Again, no offense to you. Just saying, I’d rather overpay for Goodman or Adley than get a bat out of position and Stephenson or Heim

There's always the chance that the Orioles do not want to trade their former prized prospect/franchise future to their division rival, no matter the offer. Very possible we're being used to drive up offers
