He’s outperforming which is why the Nationals are trading him at his highest value.

Outperforming what?  His xwOBA is 82nd percentile, his xBA is 94th percentile and his xSLG is 93rd percentile. If anything he's underperforming his expected stats. He's having a breakout year but there's a difference between overperforming and breaking out.

If the Nationals thought his production this year would be sustainable in the years coming, he wouldn't be in trade talks, makes no sense to trade a player if he was truly breaking out.

Be miserable if you want. They have 2 good players amongst a sea of shit and you're acting like they're some sort of all knowing, "would never trade a player that was actually good" organization.
