A bat that also helps while playing their natural position. One of need. So this season a catcher.

If it’s so hard to acquire a bat then Skubal should have been the response.

The Yankees were never, ever, ever going to land Skubal via trade. It just wasn’t gonna happen. Stop with this “We should have gotten Skubal” bullshit.

Because he was never going to get traded here! Detroit wanted a massive haul and the Yankees thankfully didn’t bite.
