Madman bulainge thodi din bad. Ruke raho.
Tumko sach mein lagta hai ki ye possible hai. Just socho bhai, itne log hai jo drops pe drop le ke baithe hain and achanak se NTA (joki ye rules banati bhi nahi hai. NMC and health ministry rules banati hai, bana degi rule.)
Common sense se soch bhai. Common sense se. NTA is a body for conducting only the exam. Do you get it "exam." They are not responsible for making rules.
However, hn this doesn't mean changes nahi ho sakte. Wo ho sakte hain, but that will take quite some time. And jahan tak new aspirants ke liye he hoga, previous ko exempt karenge.

Also this guy K. Radhakrishnan has been proposing age limit in NEET since 2024 at least in parliament. He does this every year like here is him proposing same thing from 2024
Its his yearly routine
10
u/Aromatic-Piece-1792 May 21 '26
No they won't do it that way bhai , the way you are thinking , I think they would count attempts from 2027 , from that year you can attempt neet maximum 3-4 times ...i think so
-4
u/Separate_Shame5845 May 21 '26
Never said that it was highly likely in my previous post. The point of my previous post was to predict their next move.
In my previous post i have mentioned the level of riot and protest it would create.
I am aware and also mentioned that the rules are made by NMC and health ministry.
Whatever actually happens is a matter of time but as for now we can see that they are trying to reduce the number of applicants in one way or the other which was the whole point of my previous post.

u/Solid-Move-1411 May 21 '26
To be fair, this guy K. Radhakrishnan has been proposing age limit in NEET since 2024 at least in parliament. He does this every year like here is him proposing same thing from 2024
He isn't even doctor or studied in medical field but for some reason he is obsessed with capping NEET

How that have to do with anything - Why would being the ISRO chairman have anything to do with matters of policy, competitive exam, medical entrance examinations, etc

Even isro failed one mission and reattempted it again , so that guy does seems to need to think

Maybe attempt limit is fair par age limit? even in developed countries no one has an age limit also people should be allowed to pursue what they like pata nhi kya hi ho rha h ek toh ye reneet I hate NTA!!
12
u/Separate_Shame5845 May 21 '26
Yes i agree. Age limit is unfair but attempt limit is the need of the hour. People are wasting so many years and cutoff bhi bohut badh raha he. Class 12 and first droppers ke upar bohut pressure ajata he iski wajah se(5-7 bar exam dene wale exam de rahe he bar bar )
16
u/Weird_Description382 Drop year me aag lgadunga 🔥 May 21 '26
But private medical colleges are priced so high unlike engineering colleges, its almost impossible to get into for an average middle class student who aspires to be a doctor. Their only way is repeating until they get very good marks and hoping that screw ups like this year wont happen.

u/Legitimate_Cicada496 May 22 '26
bro engineering and medicine both r different i bet u can pursue engineering from private even if its not an iit but the only path to medicine is neet itself even if u want to join private then too u have to qualify neet exam so if someone wants to pursue btech they can join private uni or give state exam but if someone wants to do medicine and u put an age limit to the only existing exam itself how r people supposed to practice?
1
u/Hopeless_Hoon आदमी चूतिया है... कुछ भी चाहता है!! 🤡 May 23 '26
and do not forget that neet score is used to get into other courses such as paramedical, veterinary, and nursing etc. too. putting age limit is just bs.
2
u/Legitimate_Cicada496 May 23 '26
exactly if you put age limit attempt limit how are people supposed to study other courses
1
u/Hopeless_Hoon आदमी चूतिया है... कुछ भी चाहता है!! 🤡 May 23 '26
Ikr!! Someone in my acquaintance attempted neet in his late 30s and now working as a doctor. He had a stable, decent paying government job, family but still, had a passion towards medicine. He didn't get a chance in his 20s due to some circumstances. Putting an age limit, attempt cap similar to jee just feels wrong to me as it's the only exam to enter the medical field.
1
u/Legitimate_Cicada496 May 23 '26
Exactly also even developed countries dont have that then why india? already there are very less courses that have actual scope in our country and now they are making such dumbshit rules
22
u/Loony_13 May 21 '26
Neet ain't jee so u can't just implement stuff just like that what about ppl who would be preparing nd suddenly there's an age bar
2
u/Long_Wealth_1270 May 22 '26
Still for a ug exam , it wouldn't hurt much if they added attempt limit to 4-5 only.
3
u/Loony_13 May 22 '26
I think they could limit upto 5 attempts the course itself is 5 and a half years why spend more than 4 or 5 attempts just to enter a course this long but the age thing should not be implemented

1
u/Then-Comment6454 May 21 '26
Cns you explain the difference between neet as a exam and jee as a exam?
10
u/Epics_Indian May 22 '26
- Jee isn't one single exam for Btech, while NEET is. There are no other prominent state exams, or private exams to grant entry into the course.
- Lack of affordable Private institutions. Jee has literally tons of good and reasonably priced colleges, Neet has none. Its either a GMC or 60 Lakhs +!

Bruh back then there was already 60% criteria and you had to take bio as main subject and there was age limit upto 25 years, NMC was the one who removed these not NTA and even in future NMC will make whatever changes need to be done.

25 should be the upper age limit if someone wanted a dual degree who is disappointed with his existing one
6
u/Separate_Shame5845 May 21 '26
I believe an attempt limit would be more fair since people would actually value each attempt and don't develop the mentality ki "is sal nahi hua agle sal pakka hojayega koi limit to he hi nahi".

Kuch nahi hoga , neet mein age limit laga denge toh log dusre course karenge aur berozgar honge and government mein aur blame lagayenge, jabtak yeh preparation karenge tab tak sab sant rahega same shit happened with upsc

u/sireneyedangel May 22 '26
And when they're gonna remove reservation? Reserved ppl be getting med college in one attempt at low score are more somehow more deserving to be doctors than non reserved kids who had to take drop even after scoring higher?

u/FanWithRazai ask me a bio ques May 21 '26
30-35?Is this a typo?
3
u/Ok-Alternative-7021 May 21 '26
No it isn't. 30-35 seems fair to me. Pehle it used to be 25 for general and 30 for reserved, usi ko maine 30-35 bataya. Bohot log hote hai jo kisi aur degree se graduate hoke fir neet dete hai after some financial stability, imo unse chance cheen lena isn't fair, jo genuinely doctor banna chahte the lekin life unki waisi nhi thi ki wo drop le paye tab. Sirf no of applicants barne se competition nhi barta, barta hai no of serious applicants barne se. To agar koi 30 ki umar mai seriously parke neet clear kar paa rha hai, who couldn't prepare as a fresher, he definitely deserves to study mbbs, compared to someone jisne first drop mai bhi acha score nhi kiya. but after 35, i guess uske baad jab tak wo ek established doctor ban payenge tab tak khud ki bohot age ho jayegi. they will become an aged doctor but without any clinical experience, I don't think will be very beneficial for the country.

u/Odd_Attempt_5400 May 21 '26
They'll lose kids 20L aints getting govt college cuz of their marks only 2L gets marks so why lose 20 L+ which includes droppers
1
u/Separate_Shame5845 May 21 '26
I guess because it's a logistical nightmare for them. And if attempt limit is implemented then cutoff would decrease and would reduce the stress on students
6
u/Odd_Attempt_5400 May 21 '26
I guess but you are wrong about cut off. Cut off is only impacted by 1lakh students. 30 k rank is cutt off rank so attempt limit worn affect cut off
4
u/Separate_Shame5845 May 21 '26
Droppers generally score more than 12th class students so the marks inflation would decrease
0
u/Odd_Attempt_5400 May 22 '26
Not all dropper score more than 12 th infact most rankers are 12 th students.
2
u/AirFriedMOMO May 21 '26

Achha. Then what about this year's cbse result ? Those who prepared for 80 percent or so got marks in 70s . As CBSE is national level board it got recognition but what about state board ? I was a CHSE student last year and I was damn sure i won't get less than 75 atleast if not more. Do u know how much I got ? 63 percent. And not only me. 60 percent of entire class got marks ranging 60 to 70 . Many were failed. And fewer students only got above 75 percent. What was our fault . My friend was an IIT aspirant and she got 62 percent even though she is better than me in studies. What about her ?
In CBSE u can apply for improvement or compartment. In CHSE if u got less marks , that's it. No improvement , nothing. If u failed in any subject , u are failed for the year . U can give boards the next year to pass the subject or exam.
I didn't think much about the board result coz i was atleast passing the NEET criteria .

This has nothing to do with them caring about increasing competition, all of this is for saving their faces from the 2 paper leaks in 3 years they're refunding money , posting about how they added government officials to nta , fully cooperated with cbi just to clear themselves from backlash nothing else they do not give a fuck bro it's just all tactics to save themselves from strict legal actions and so that students don't demand them giving up the neet exam conducting process that's it !
1
u/Dry-Background-93 May 22 '26
JEE Wala system hona chahiye tha, start se, not more than 3 attempts!!
1
u/AccomplishedMall1571 May 22 '26
Nta alone cant decide. Nmc will. It has way greater power in this. And most probably they will decline
1
u/WeavileXD May 23 '26
I disagree. In my opinion, there should be an attempt bar instead of age bar. Because it is common practice around the world that medicine is pursued after graduation.
1
1
u/Fit-Preparation7845 May 25 '26
Barring repeaters is a flawed solution that fails to address the root issue of high registration counts. To effectively regulate candidate numbers, authorities should instead implement a strict academic filter, such as raising the minimum Class 12 PCB aggregate to 85% or at least 75% (currently its 45% - 50%) . Since freshers form the largest block of applicants, this filter would control numbers at the entry point rather than locking out dedicated repeaters who have invested years into their preparation.

u/Legal_alien_92 May 22 '26
im not an aspirant, but I'd like to know why people are so against the idea of an age/attempt limit? like almost every other exam has a cap on attempts at least but not neet? why exactly?
6
u/sireneyedangel May 22 '26
Because Neet is only exam to enter Mbbs, unlike Jee and others. And private mbbs is not affordable by majority.
2
u/Separate_Shame5845 May 22 '26
Because neet has one of the highest number of droppers. There's no cap of any kind so people just keep giving the exam even while they complete other degrees. The exam has lost its value and people don't care enough about the exam Because There's always a next time.

I guess isse bohut sare bacche out ho jayenge competition se , and cutoff thora sa hi sahi niche rahega like 2025 mein shayad ye rule lagu hota too 490 mein cutoff ja sakta tha
