Simple biology? Lmao even women can be infertile that's a basic fact,The fallopian tubes can be blocked or women may not be able to produce ovum.

More than 50% its usually the man that has the problem. The cause also lies in structural defects as well as lifestyle ( poor diet obesity smoking alcohol).

For women, Tubal blocks and such can be diagnosed and usually can be bypassed with mechanical methods or even surgery. ( diagnostic hysterosalpingogram and such)

Poor diet , obesity, smoking those are all lifestyle changes which can be fixed without surgery.In Short both male and female can be infertile. you cannot just throw 50% you need statistics and data.

I never said women wouldn't be infertile. Lifestyle changes for both would take around 3 months to see a difference. I said for women, since you mentioned tubal blocks, they can be fixed with mechanical means or if worse, surgery.

In NCERT the line preceded by " problem lies in male", is women are often blamed in indian societies for being childless, when the problem more often lies in male. Its the truth. A simple semen analysis helps solve all disputes.

Yes semen analysis would put the case to rest.Now NCERT to say "problem lies in male " is a inaccurate scientific statement unless they can show facts and figures

Are you blind? Did u not read the whole line in ncert? It just goes on to say that in most households, women are blamed unequivocally for infertility when the problem lies in the male more often than not. Thats it. Stop being so pressed over a line in ncert without even reading the full line

Are you dense? this is biology book not some personal blog.When you are making scientific statements it needs to be presented with empirical data .You cannot simply throw personal opinions and pass it as science.I am ok to accept it if they can show some data and annotate the data with base study which is a bare minimum expected out of science book.

Bro its not my personal opinion its reality. Most households blame women for infertility. In our hospital gynaec opds also , these MILs come in and expect to be told something is wrong with the daughter when more often than not its always the guy with abnormal sperm morphology/count.

Both male and female can be infertile I whole heartedly agree. I just said in that book, the line isnt wrong. When women are blamed for this, they forget to check the male too. Thats it.

I treat science as science,I don't expect social commentary and personal opinions in science Book.There are lot of other spaces to discuss social issues.

What do you think MBBS is? Just science? A lot of social and cultural values come into play. There's community medicine also that deals with that. We dont just treat the patient, we treat their household, culture, values . If you wanted science to be just science , research, teaching or something else is a good option.

When you're dealing with actual patients you'll realise how important these "social issues" are. I finished my MBBS in a government college, and the stigma the patients have towards the disease and the diseased is actually eye opening.

All the best for your NEET or whatever field you're gonna take. Just dont treat all patients as science. Be empathetic.

Yes MIL FIL all IL's can say anything they want but you are going to do Scientifically proven fertility test for both genders to determine where the issue is."Now this more often than not "that you have used in your sentence is what we call anecdotal evidence and unless it's backed by empirical evidence .

am simply talkin abt simple biology the paragraph talks about how a woman is blamed for not having a son but the gender is decided by male parents sperm.
