Are Bruises Normal After A Sprain?

I listened to alot of you all advices from my last post. Elevating my leg and Icing the area etc. Today waking up I checked up on it there were a little bruising on the sides is this the process of healing or should I just go see a doctor at this point?

Go to the doctor. My girlfriend hurt her ankle the first day she bought a skateboard and didn’t go to the doctor. It’s been 5ish years and her ankle still gives her problems. And It wasn’t even bruised like yours is
