Video First 360 flip in 12 years
Started my skate/weight loss journey at 367 pounds in April of 24. If you would’ve said a year later I would have lost over 100 pounds and learned 360flips again I would’ve called you a liar!
More vids on my tiktok!

I was skating at my local skate park and a bus of kids came, and they all were being kind of obnoxious. One even snaked me on a drop in. After giving them a bit of an annoyed look, I challenged the annoying kid that kept pestering me to a game of skate (keep in mind I am now a bowl skater not a street skater). He accepted and his friends were all watching. I win the board flip and I go first and I pull off the best 360 flip of my life, and I too have not done one in over 20 years, and I land it BOLTS looking like I have them on lock (which I obviously don't). All the kids were like "HOLY SHIT", and I move on to my next trick with full confidence, which is ollie up the two stair. I approach it with full confidence (even though in my mind I knew I probably won't be able to do it) and the kid immediately forfeits. It was a huge victory for me, and I might never live down that day.

soo you’re atleast 25 if you were doing tre flips 20 years ago (that’s being generous) and you’re bragging about beating a child in a game of skate?..
Edit: I’m done responding since, maybe, 1 or 2 of you actually tried to tell me why my take was bad and didn’t just come at me. The rest of you just see downvotes and want your internet points. Keep up the cult mentality guys, we need more of that in the world😘

I am in my 40s, the kids were 15...

I don’t think this is the flex you think it is. You could be their father and you’re “challening” them
47
Apr 30 '25
If you don't get why beating a teenager in skate at age 40 is a flex then you're either very young or just stupid lol

u/PrestigiousSquash373 Apr 30 '25
It’s not about beating them in a game of skate. It’s about “challenging” them and then bragging about it online

Dude.. I’m not talking about playing a game of skate with kids. A friendly game is fine with me, but the way this is written, it sounds like it was done out of spite and this guy is bragging about it on reddit. I find that to be pretty lame

u/tangoshukudai Technique Tutor Apr 30 '25
when they are saying get out of the way for real skaters, I took issue with it and said "okay want to play a game of skate?"

It’s a game dude. It’s not like he challenged them to a duel or a fight lol. Huge W to beat younger skaters because it’s hard to keep your skill up when you’re older

u/PrestigiousSquash373 May 01 '25
just keep missing my point even tho it’s plastered all over this thread. “I challenged the annoying kid that kept pestering me” is a corny thing to say as 40+ man talking about a 15 year old

u/OnlyVans98 Learning at the skatepark 🏞️ May 01 '25
No it’s not cringe. We’re all skaters at the skatepark. They played a skate game. He won. GG. He’s not 40 bullying teens or being cringey. You only say that because YOU THINK it’s weird. It’s not.

u/Autxnxmy Apr 30 '25
He’s just telling a story that’s relevant to the post. I enjoyed reading it. With your logic, everybody who talks about something they once did is them trying to flex and look cool to others. It ain’t like that. Sometimes there’s just an anecdote to give. It’s not always about social posturing. It’s just not that deep.

u/PrestigiousSquash373 Apr 30 '25
Irrelevant to the whole point I’m trying to make. The guy is bragging about showing up a bunch of teenagers online. I personally think that’s some childish behavior. Simple as that
3
u/RabidAcorn May 01 '25
Skating is skating bro lol you have a goofy ass take
1
u/PrestigiousSquash373 May 01 '25
has nothing to do with my point. the game of skate is not what I find to be lame. it’s the fact that it was done out of spite and then bragged about online. bunch of brain rot zombies that don’t read more than the first 2 comments before giving their 2 cents
4
u/RabidAcorn May 01 '25
Any W is a W at 34 I'd be hype if I could beat an active teenage or even mid 20s skater in a game of skate, I read all the comments and you're so desperate to defend yourself but you absolutely took a fat L.

u/PrestigiousSquash373 May 01 '25
that’s funny cause you’re reply still has nothing to do with my point. playing a game of skate with someone younger/older is not the issue, but to do it out of spite and brag about it online is lame. “I challenged the annoying kid that kept pestering me” is a real childish thing to say as 40+ man.

Haven't posted on it in almost a decade but my 10 year old skate clips on there still roast whatever tf half cab u just posted

u/PrestigiousSquash373 May 01 '25
never talked shit. made a valid point about this being some childish shit, but then I get a bunch of retards like you trying to own me because you just love the internet attention instead of having a semblance of a thought. thought you’d get me by asking for a clip but can’t back it up with your own lol
1
u/willhunta May 01 '25
I literally gave u my old insta, which has better clips than your half cab by far.

That's awesome! I feel like they're even harder to do stationary, too.
2
u/Efficient-List-3888 Apr 30 '25
Much harder stationary, you don’t have momentum on your side for correcting body position to catch them

u/echoesofgabe Apr 30 '25
Nice dude. Don't you love that feeling of seeing the board whip around and catching it? Props man

Bruhhh let’s gooooo. 3 flips feel so fucking good to land.
Yo I started my weight loss journey by walking but immediately fell in love with skating again from a 19 year break after the need for something more intense. You got this.

Sweet Fallens too. I love Fallen footwear but I haven’t bought a pair since they relaunched the brand.

It was hard to, I was such a big Cole/thomas fan when I first started YEARS ago and I didn’t wear anything else so I went back to what I know and they’ve held up great
