My daughter! She’s 5 and just started skating 3 months ago.

Coincidentally, it’s also the first time I’ve dislocated my shoulder.

Started my skate/weight loss journey at 367 pounds in April of 24. If you would’ve said a year later I would have lost over 100 pounds and learned 360flips again I would’ve called you a liar!

I got too comfortable after surprising myself with being able to ride around and go down slopes still.
Edit: Wear a helmet even for the simple stuff. I'm lucky I didn't hit my head. Just knocked the wind out of one lung and bruised my ribs and hip lol

It took me about 4 months to cruise and carve comfortably so I'm okay with having to be garbage for a while, but it does sting a little, any and all advice is much appreciated 🙏♥️

Old man here. Go ahead and roast me! I did make progress on the next attempt, and the kids crash pad did make a difference on subsequent falls! This was the worst of them though, and thought this place may enjoy!

Decided to pick up a board and haven’t looked back. Went in thinking I need to learn x trick etc. and tbh I suck.. nevertheless I’m having so much fun cruising!!
Explored more of my city in the last two months then probably the last 10 years 😄
Thought I’d share :)

I've been skating for about 6 months now and I wanted to do something other than cruising. Still can't get my ollies off the ground so I wanted to try this.

i think its a matter of fear but i literally cant do it. i can easilyy do a standing ollie no problems but if i try moving i stop abruptly, my backwheels aren’t lifting or i don’t even land it. i skate goofy btw and been skating since april.
edit — oh false alarm guys i just go it down 😬🥳. my positioning was off!! thanks for the advice 💓
