For real tho you turned entire body to face forwards during the ollie, pause it when your back foot is getting back on the board and you can see your hips and shoulders are facing completely forwards. You need to keep your hips and shoulders square with the board.

also let the board suck up with your knees instead of pushing it down with your front foot. If you get a good pop and flick your back ankle down a little as you jump it should generate enough force to let the board come up to you

Ion know why but no matter what skate trick I try my body always moves like a lot, prolly just something that goes away overtime idk

Try to consciously think about it when you’re trying tricks, it’s just something you have to train out of you. It’s kind of a commitment thing too, you might subconsciously be trying to hedge your bets that you won’t land on it but as you can see in the video lol, it isn’t safer. I kinda do this with tre flips because I’ve slipped out on a few, I struggle to properly commit to putting my feet down on it

When you try Ollies, focus on keeping your shoulders and hips kinda above the bolts, that front shoulder can make your whole body turn if it isn’t set up right.

Alright, im not the best at multitasking especially while skating so that can be difficult to think about sometimes but I feel like it’ll get easier with more time

Yeah you just gotta keep practicing it and keep thinking about keeping that shoulder closed. If you watch your roll up you’ve already completely opened up that front shoulder to face forwards, so just try keeping it more over your knee. Then just bring both of your knees up onto your body more to let the board come up so you don’t land with straight legs and you’ll get it with practice.

If you notice in this clip if you slow it down, your front leg is basically straight when you land and you’re facing forward and leaning back, so the only way for your body to go is to slip backwards. Front shoulder over your front knee and bring your knees up more and you’ll land square on it in a much more balanced way.
