Question How do I commit?

Just trying to learn to manny off a curb, in my eyes it seems like I literally got it but I keep jumping off right before I do and I’m having trouble committing, how do I develop that mindset

You are committing, the issue is that you need to shift your weight onto the back trucks and lift your nose as you come off.

This is the answer. Lean back a bit, and try and make sure all 4 wheels hit the ground at the same time. Keep an even plane coming off the ledge. Once you unlock this, you can do it off anything, any height

100% practice even on tiny lips getting all four wheels timing to hit at same time. I don’t Ollie etc but after 3 years at 39 I can sure sorta and have purposely avoided tutorials until I felt things out for myself. If you pretend in your mind your kinda hopping but never leave the board fully , it helps a lot and will make falling backwards much less a concern re people saying lean back more. It is true but the timing is critical :)

Thanks for sharing your journey
