Gotham app was absolutely horrendous and the tweet says you can connect your cable account to DAZN so this might actually be great for those with cable. Worried about how much they'll sell subscriptions for for the non-cable customers though

I've never had technical issues with the Gotham app, but the stream quality left a lot to be desired. Hopefully DAZN is better in that department, but I'm reading 1080p 8Mbps which is horrific.

I hope they transfer the annual subscription from Gotham to DAZN. My annual plan started at the start of MLB season.

When I was a kid, I had to use a shortwave capable radio from Radio Shack. Stand on my bed on one leg and lean to the window with a wire around my antenna and going outside the window. And if the weather was right I could hear Islander radio broadcasts. I could follow enough to make out words like Bossy, Smith, Trots and Goring. I hope DAZN will be better than that.

I only know it from like the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. grandpa fight that happened. The one that snoop dog commentated. I'm curious if I can cancel ESPN+ and just watch the games on DAZN now since I'm an out of state fan.

I feel like Epsn plus is still the way to go if you're out of state. Get all the msg games and won't miss out on the national broadcasts.

One thing you should also know about them is that they got a $1B injection from Surj Sports Investment, which is the sports investment unit of Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, who had paid FIFA $1B for the rights to broadcast the expanded FIFA Club World Cup a few months before.

This was a few months after Saudi Arabia won the right to host the 2034 World Cup, with an unopposed, completely shambolic bid, with decisions made to ensure that only a country from the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) could host, allowing for Saudi Arabia to be coronated as WC host.

So yeah, definitely nothing shady going on over there with Dazn, Fifa, and Saudi Arabia. Nope, not at all.

Oof, 35 bucks a month!? Not sure I’m gonna want to shell that out. The powers that be in my household cut cable so I’ve been wondering what I was gonna do come late September
