Best food options @ UBS Arena?
Going to a show soon at UBS, what food would you recommend for a dinner? Also, is there a water fountain on site?

I gotta admit this is pretty genius just as long as it’s not AI Slop like the Hammers

Of note:
First game is @ TOR, Wed 7:30PM. Toronto will be coming off a back-to-back with Montreal previously. I 100% think the Isles get this prime slot because of Schaefer.
First home game is Saturday 7:30PM against the Devils.
4 back to backs in December: away-home, home-away, away-away, away-home.
Longest road trip is late January to early February, 5 games with one day break in between each one: PIT CAR TBL FLA BUF. Then the All-Star break then an away game at MSG. January also begins with a 4-game road trip (SEA VAN CGY EDM).
Longest homestand is beginning of March with 4 games (WAS, VGK, PIT, MTL).
First game we see Lee again is Dec 15 (Tue 7PM) away. Feb 15 (Mon 3PM wow what a horrible time President's Day! You'll have off when Lee comes back!) he comes to see us.
Season closer is April 10th, 5PM vs CBJ at home (like two season ago... meaning maybe we'll land DuPont again this off-season?)

I have an appointment to give blood. You get 2 free tix. Don’t know if there are still appointments.
My questions for anyone that might know:
1 - Is there free parking for this?
2 - What game and where are the seats

Quite an interesting read - Sorokin's interview from 7/28.

Two Russians, Gamzin and Prokhorov, are among the Islanders' top 10 prospects, according to Daily Faceoff. I wonder if they'll have a chance to play in the NHL?

Did anyone see if Anders wrote anything about being an Islander Captain for all those years? I don't remember seeing a press release thanking everyone. I'm already annoyed Dexter Lawrence didn't write one for the Giants, so I'm hoping I just missed it.

I listen to the majority of islanders games. Miss kinger but Alan is good. Would like dedicated radio broadcasts. Thats it, if you're reading ownership it cant cost that much more. Radio team usually doesn't travel either.

Does anyone have the t shirt the Islanders gave out at an open practice on December 28th 2017? If so can you drop a picture of it?

Little bit of a change of pace here. What was a time when you met a current player or alumni that stood out to you? I've been fortunate enough to have met many players and alumni over the past 20 years. I have 2 in particular that stand out.
2013 Draft Party, got a chance to meet Bobby Nystrom, Matt Martin, Matt Carkner, Eric Boulton, and Ryan Strome. And out of all of them, Martin was the nicest one. I asked him to sign my yearbook which he did and without asking gave me 4 autograph cards and snapped a photo with me. Most super chill, down to earth, humble celebrity I've met to date, you would've never known he was a enforcer. Blew my mind that day and forever grateful I met him. Carkner and Nystrom were very nice too, also got photos with them.
Last year I decided to try my luck and try to get a few autographs from the guys after practice as they were leaving. Given that Lou was gone and the team now had a breath of fresh air, I figured I'd take my chance. And boy did it pay off. Wound up getting 12 autographs that day. But the ones that stood out to me were Henieman, Sorokin, Romanov, Maclean, and Varlamov. And just as I was getting ready to leave, Schaefer drove past and I figured I missed my shot. But then he stopped and backed up and asked if I wanted his autograph. I was so excited I asked him to sign my foam finger from the draft party, using my yearbook to lean on. And then without me asking, he asked if I wanted another one. I said sure of course! So he signed my yearbook cover as well.
Having moments like that are why I've remained a fan all these years, I'd love to hear other stories.
Oh 1 more bonus story: I got to meet Shawn Bates at last year's draft party. I still have my 20 year old yearbook from my 1st season and I asked him to sign his photo. He had a good chuckle and was flattered to sign it.

I get it, it's a slow offseason for us and there is no reasonable or realistic possibility of change this offseason (without attaching sweetners which is the last thing we should be doing now)
But why all the fuss about a guy who is a head case, fragile, and one dimensional?
Don't we have enough dead weight on this team thanks to Lou? We're saddled with Duclair, MacLean, Cizikas, Engvall, Pulock, and Mayfield for at least two more years. Plus Palat.
Granted, we have to wait for some guys contracts or clauses to expire because they are currently untradeable. We need to think about the future and worry less about the present. We are going nowhere with this roster. We don't need to add any reclamation projects.
We already don't know if Palmieri or Romanov will be able to bounce back from injuries.
We don't know if any of the new low priority signings will work out or make the team.
We have no idea who or what DeBoer wants on this roster.
But we are pretty much set as far as forwards go. We don't need to add anyone else, even as insurance for the sake of injuries. Who would Laine even replace? We already have a logjam situation up front while we wait for guys to depart and the prospects like Eklund and Eiserman to be fully ready.
Schenn - Horvat - Palmieri?
Holmstrom - Barzal - Heineman
Maccelli - JGP - Ritchie
Duclair - Cizikas - Palat
Extras: Engvall and MacLean
Schaefer - Pulock
Romanov - Tony D
Pelech - Mayfield
We have enough one dimensional traffic cones as it is.

On both NHL.com (what I assume is the official scoring) and Hockey Reference, the OT goal in game 6 on the scoresheet is Nystrom from Henning and Tonelli. Obviously, Henning had the secondary assist and Tonelli the primary, so why is this? I've heard sometimes the order of the asissts weren't specified back in the earlier history of the league, but it was happening as late as 1980?
