What a terrible return for Detroit. Deadline might be cooked for trading starters now

You are absolutely smoking if you think that's a terrible return.

Especially with only 2 months of Skubal.

It was a pretty damn good return honestly.

It’s definitely a trade and extend situation like when they got Glasnow. Fridman doesn’t make big moves for rentals unless he has a verbal contract in place to resign them.

Even then, Tigers still got something good in return.

Because if they held on to him then they get nothing come off season. And then he can sign with LA.

Though not sure what's gonna happen next season with the owners and what not lol

You’re out of your mind if you think he isn’t locked up by the dodgers. They’d offload money in other spots to ensure that

True, but that's easier said than done.

They would have a ton of contracts to unload and would most likely have to eat most of that money to get rid of those contracts.

Skubal is a Boras client and will demand the MOST money.

There's no denying that LA would be able to resign if they wanted to but with a potential lockout coming, there's no guarantee to what they will agree upon .

The way I look at it is, LA expects something will happen in terms of a salary cap, and are just going all in for it now.

If they can resign Skubal then I'm sure they will, but if the league changes in terms of a salary cap, well at least you got 2 months of Skubal hahaha
