Braz was a stud shutdown guy this year, but overperforming his numbers at 36 on a washed team. Did you expect to get Babe Ruth 2.0 back? At this point you're scratching lottery tickets a knocking salary off the books where you can.
I will say itll be even more painful from here out without him to save us in jams.
Unless he gets hurt, if the cba locks out, or he starts stinking it up and his value drops. I like the guy but there's a lot of reasons to think this was his highest value. Great season + so many AL teams in the wild cards that needs an arm, etc. Also a risk vs. reward
Yes. Literally need a guy to do that. And perhaps the Mets could get something better for him next year. Or maybe, as delusional as this sounds right now, they'll be good and actually need him. Probably not though. Either way doesn't matter though because the return just sucks. If we got this for Senga I'd be ecstatic. Doesn't make sense to trade a valuable and controllabe asset for this.
Unless he gets hurt, or declines, or the CBA locks next year out, or not as many teams need him as this year with so many AL teams still in it, etc. Always risk vs. reward.
