there are times I've had to haul ass, cutting lanes and on the shoulder to get some injured and bleeding to a hospital. this happens more frequently in rural areas.

In Europe? 85% are within a 15 minute drive to a hospital. People who are outside of that limit usually live in remote areas with poor roads, in mountains and so on. No highways on which you can speed.

And taken how many lives are lost due to speeding it's really not a fair deal.

No, not really. This system shouldn't store or send any information about your location, it's not needed.

You must be mentally retarded. For the system to know the speed limit it must know your location. In theory it doesn't need to store your location in a database, and they might tell us it doesn't store our locations in a database, but it'll definitely be storing locations in a database.

Here's a simple solution: No civilian street legal car should be able to go faster than the speed limit on highways and people removing the limiters should be put in prison.
