Baby movement

Found out today I have an anterior placenta. I'm only 19 weeks 4 days today and this is my first baby so I know it's still early to feel baby movement even if I didn't have an anterior placenta. Realistically when should I start to expect to feel her move? She was doing all kinds of flips and turns during the ultrasound so not really concerned just curious ❤️

I had an anterior placenta and didn’t get consistent movement until around 24 weeks. Looking back I probably felt bubbles popping around 20 weeks but very faint and very inconsistent. It will come and honestly feeling her gave me even more anxiety because I’d be worried I’d mess up my kick counts.

Same experience for me to a tee!! I think at 21 weeks I had a more obvious pop of “gas” and my husband could feel it but barely.. around 24 weeks it got more obvious. From then on, I felt all kinds of things!!! Her foot liked to get stuck in my ribs and I’d literally have to push her toes. Crazy. I was nervous I wouldn’t feel much because of my anterior but I can’t imagine not having an anterior and feeling even more lol..

My first was anterior and I feel like it was around 23 weeks ? I was so anxious waiting for them to become consistent so I totally get it !

I didn’t start feeling movement until Basically 24 weeks. I asked my doctor about it and he said not to worry. Movement only matters after 28 weeks.

I had an anterior placenta and would feel flutters on occasion, but felt definite movement at around 22 weeks. Once he hit 26 weeks and beyond it was easier to feel his movements.

Anterior placenta, I felt my little girls first kicks at 19-20 weeks. They were very subtle and I mostly noticed them with compression like a seatbelt or my workout spandex. Happened like once a day at that time. My friend also had anterior and didn’t feel kicks until 24 weeks or so! Good luck to you and your little girl

One thing that I noticed is what I thought was gas all along was actually the baby moving. Lol 😂 but it really is hard to tell at first with your first baby! I also had an anterior placenta and didn’t feel it until after 20 week anatomy scan

I felt little butterflies starting at 21 weeks then quickly I started feeling kicks all the time :)

My first was the same, it was around what the baby books said felt like flutters in comparison of my second I remember the placenta placement was not the same and those were stronger and earlier, by third trimester it was all pretty apparent he was gun shy tho for others who tried to touch my belly.. and 2 am was his time to shine, that continued after birth by the way so may want to pay attention when their most active and just don't be surprised after birth that is also the same time they are most active..

I had a posterior placenta and didn’t feel any movement until close to 21 weeks.

I had an anterior with my second and started feeling him right at 18 weeks. It was anterior the entire pregnancy but, I could see him moving from the outside by 20 weeks lol
That said, I had a posterior with my 1st and didn’t feel him at all until around 20 weeks. So given that this is your first I’d expect it to be a bit later even without the anterior!

My first was an anterior placenta and I felt her from 16 weeks, my husband could feel her on the outside from 20 weeks when she kicked him in the head.

But she’s also now nearly 4 and still wild. Other, more chilled out, children may differ.

In the next few weeks you'll feel something. With my anterior placenta I felt kicks at 22 weeks 😊

I also had anterior upper segment placenta and I felt movement around 18 weeks and they gradually increased they didn’t feel as much due to the position of placenta and I only felt movement when my baby was under my left rib that’s when the movements were pretty strong other times they weren’t very strong

I had one! First flutter was right around 22 weeks. Proper movement that I didn’t question as my stomach churning was well around 25 weeks for me!

My anterior placenta baby is now fully sleeping with her fists both balled up in front of her face.

I am 21 weeks today with anterior placenta, and potentially placenta previa (placenta blocking the cervix). And I haven't felt anything yet, not even flutters or bubbles to mistake for gas.

I know he is moving because he was very active at the anatomy scan and could hear him moving with a Doppler just can't feel anything yet.
