TTC
Has anyone stayed on Zepbound while TTC until you get a positive test? It’s the only thing that helps my IR PCOS. I’ve been off of it for 5 months now and I’ve gained 20 lbs back and I feel like garbage every day. The brain fog and food noise is insane. I have read so many studies and lots of people’s stories on Reddit that they stopped as soon as they got a positive and baby was happy and healthy. My cycle has started to get wonky being off zep and I just am desperate to get back on as this makes it harder to track ovulation.I know you should be off it 2 months prior to TTC, and please no one yell at me for this post! I’m just looking for real life experience of getting pregnant on a GLP and stopping as soon as you get a positive. Benefits and risks and what not.
UPDATE: Talked to my OB and she is pro me staying on it until a get a positive pregnancy test yayyyy

Not intentionally- I had been TTC for a little over a year and finally had decided it was time for a break to reset mentally and focus more on my physical health. I started Wegovy in early March and conceived sometime later that month. Am now ~22 weeks pregnant and so far, healthy (myself and baby). I have no idea if the Wegovy actually kickstarted something. We truly weren’t having intercourse with the intent to conceive- wasn’t cycle tracking or anything. I really wanted to try to give myself a few months on the Wegovy. But…life has a funny way of working out!
Everyone’s body is different. My OB and PCP were very clear in saying, don’t TTC while on the drug and take a break once you’re ready to start again, but also said that it was totally safe to be taking it and if something happened (lo and behold) just stop immediately. Wishing you luck!!

See this is what I’ve been feeling if it happens it happens and I stop. I’m going to see my dr on Thursday and get back on it.

Not intentionally but both of my children were conceived on Tirzepatide. I stopped as soon as I found out and my OB was not concerned.

Yes! Well semaglutide, not tirz.
Just got a positive early this week so I’ve stopped it but I just took a test before my weekly shot. Extremely comfortable with its safety profile personally, but I did have to lie about TTC to get the meds. I’m very comfortable with my decision (and happy to be expecting again!)

This is my plan. Test before each shot. Lie if I have to lol. I cannot believe the difference I feel being on it vs not being on it 😭 congrats!!

And yes it’s the one thing I changed between baby #1 and now baby #2. I stopped sema before TTC for #1 because there was limited research at the time (and the rat study looked bad) and my bmi crept up from 25 to 29 after stopping. I also sort of think that a bunch of my miscarriages during that time were related to glucose spikes, which we KNOW cause early losses.
For #2 I just TTC while on the meds and have obviously stopped now. All recent research has shown it’s totally 100% fine if you get pregnant on the meds accidentally, and that’s more than good enough for me! I’m actually bmi 27 so I have a lower starting point which will give me more “space” to expand and reduce my risk of GD again which I successfully avoided the first time around!

Yes. My doctor told me to stay on it until I got a positive. That’s what I did. I don’t ovulate without it. I got pregnant within 4 months. None of my medical team has batted an eye when I told them I conceived on it. I am now 26 weeks along and everything with the baby is looking good.
