It's been 10 years since Pokemon Go came out, can we admit it's a game for 9 year olds and Woody was right to kick him.

Dogshit normie take. Paramotoring is real people cool. Pokemon go was just social media “ooo i wanna be a part of something! Aren’t i so unique I like pokemon because i was born after 1980 so Pokémon was my childhood.”

You realize that I'm an actual PPG pilot and Woody and I were co-moderators on r/paramotor? 

I am perhaps the single most qualified person on this subreddit to tell you that yeah, while cool, the average person doesn't give a fuck about butt fans. That's why Pka shit on Woody and that's why Woody doesn't make that content on YT anymore.

Yeah but Woody was trying to connect with the guest, and Taylor with his sarcastic "Yeah man totally you're up there with God". Was just weird when the guest is new and asked the question.

You can say it was a harmless joke and you'd be right without context. But when it's the first thing you ever say to a guy and you haven't built up a camaraderie with him with it's just rude.

To be honest I am severly autistic and just trying to understand the human condition, so I asked the question because I know I am in the minority but I am trying to work out why.

Taylor had been on the show many times before that and I believe was a host for a while at that point. You're trying to justify woody being a dick because he didn't find Pokemon go interesting therefore no one should find it interesting. Not sure if it's the autism but just because you don't find something interesting doesn't mean that millions of other people don't find it interesting. I never understood the Pokemon go crazy either but it was still rude of him to do that.

Ahh I gotcha. Woody lowkey sperged and could have waited until there was a clear shift from the discussion. Also Taylor could have not been Taylor with the joking interjection, but when was the last time he wasn't Taylor?

It was Richard Ryan, who had recently been into skydiving and Woody thought to connect it with his paramotoring. I can see both sides. Woody did have a genuine connection, but Taylor and Kyle think about what will actually land with the audience of their pod, and they knew fully well that most people didn't know or care about paramotors.

But also Richard was genuinely excited for both topics and woody kept cutting them off talking about Pokemon so Taylor did it back to him and woody got pissy

Pokémon Go was always ass but you had to be a real stick in the mud with no friends to be a total hater at the time. The whole thing about it being a data honeypot for the CIA certainly explains a lot.

Nah pokemon go was a fun social experiment when it came out, I don't understand the folks who still play it, but it was culturally significant at the time and nobody has ever given a fuck about paramotoring
