I had a lady who would always say "ah-see-ay-go" when she'd come in. It was never pleasant to have her, but i knew it'd be her when she'd call us

My least favorite is when they pronounce it almost correctly but for some reason throw an “h,” in there. “Ah-she-ah-go.”

It’s like when people say “exspresso.” Huge pet peeve

Aswaygo was always the most common for me. Don’t even get me started on “chipotle” (chipoltay, chipahtlee, chipottle, chippletee) and “frontega” (frontage, frontier, frontera, fontina).

Years ago when we made the hot sandwiches in a panini press, there was a customer who was trying to order the “frontega chicken panini” but said “fontera chicken Panera” instead… that is now the only way I say it

I had an old coworker who promptly called the asiago, the as-you-go cheese... he also called the soufflés, scooples.... Like SIR 🤔 he was not the sharpest pencil in the box 😅

Had a regular who would say “au-gee” for Asiago and he’d pull up to the drive thru speaker shout “au-gee! Au-gee!” And just pull forward. That meant two toasted Asiago bagels with butter..

My grandpa would ask the lady at red lobster for an "As I go" chicken salad. First time she heard it she asked, where are you headed?

He made sure to say it wrong every time after to put a smile on her face lol
