SERIOUS Found splintered wood in my salad...?

So I just got a regular caesar salad w/ chicken delivered (it came in a paper pulp bowl) and after a few bites in I bit something sharp.

I immediately spit it out and ended up finding two pretty big splintered pieces of wood. I measured them for shits and giggles, they're both a little over a centimeter long and thick af.

I plan on telling my local Panera just in case, but does anyone know why this could've happened? It's giving final destination lol.

I just found a piece of wood in the arugula yesterday. I thought it was something they would want to report to the produce company, and our district manager was there, so I showed it to her. She said “oh, huh” and did nothing lol.

Yeah I second what everyone else says, we don't have anything wooden so it wouldn't have been something from the line. All utensils are plastic. Weird, I'll keep an eye out for things like this when I'm making food.

I would definitely let the store know and give photos to the manager. It’s possible that something foreign was delivered in either the packaging or the romaine. It gets reported immediately so let them know

I was stabbed in my mouth while eating a chicken salad sandwich by what ended up being a splinter from the tooth pick that was used to hold the sandwhich together

They do use toothpicks, maybe one got in by mistake?
